I have the IH-9527J and I'm looking to purchase a pair of IH-666XHS and the IHBX01-25but I'm having trouble figuring out my size.
Measuring tape around my waist is 32.5 inches. Add a finger space and I'm 33 inches. I've measured three different pairs of jeans I own and they all seem to be 34 - 34.5 inches, but I have to admit, I like wearing them loose (around the waist, not the legs).
For the IH-666XHS should I be getting a size 33 (waist closer to 34) or a size 32 (waist closer to 33) and then work on stretching them out an inch?
FYI, my measurements are 183 cm, 76 kg.
Any help would be appreciated. Great forum!

I'd go with the 32, AS LONG AS THE THIGH MEASUREMENT WORKS FOR YOU. People too often overlook the thigh measurement. The waist will stretch, the thighs not so much.

Based on the comments about the 25 oz denim's stretch capacity on the previous page, I would recommend size 33.

I don't have power lifter thighs. They are normal so I'm not too worried about not being able to fit. Its more the waist I'm concerned about. If I understand correctly, a size 32 would means a waist of 33 according to the sizing chart. Plus a little stretch I guess the final size would be 33.5 - 34 inches? A size 33 would be actually 34 inches and possibly end up stretching to 35? If this is correct I would guess i'm a size 32 then. Unless they don't stretch that much around the waist?

measure to the pants you like, not your waist - your actual waist means nothing in this context. The IH way measures pants to pants, not pants to body. So if the pants you like are 34 to 34.5 I'd get the 33 which measures 34 acc. to the chart, and you will get a little shrink + a little stretch = 34 to 34.5 in the end. I don't have the 25oz (yet ;)) but I do have other sanforized IH 21 and 23 and this would be the way I "best-guess" the sizing on these. JMODO.

Most of my jeans measure 34 to 34.5 inch. In the case of 666-XHS the size 33 would be 34 waist inch new as per the sizing chart. This would stretch to 35 inches based on the description which is too big.

As size 32 inch comes as measuring 33 waist. Which, given a one inch stretch would be 34 inches. More like my current jeans.
Not sure if this logic makes sense….

makes sense - you are kinda between sizes - but even though they are sanforized, they will still shrink just a little bit too - so consider the shrink, add the stretch, and most IH jeans end up pretty close to TTS based on the chart. P.S. and "i've heard" 25 oz does not stretch easily or as much as their other denims.

I just ordered these. I am a little uneasy and worried about the fit in the thigh, but I just tried on my current Iron Hearts (size 40) and was able to grab about 4 inches in the thigh and the waist is about 2-3 inches too large. So I guess I will be fine. I guess I lost a little weight since January. Or they stretched out a bunch.
I left them unhemmed, so I can stack the f*** out of 'em (and return them if necessary.) Thanks again Giles. I couldn't wait any more for the straight cut to get back in stock.
