You'll give up drinking that lager stuff when you try Hole Hearted, or any other of the Oakleaf beers come to that!
I speak from experience.

The Oakleaf brews are some of the best beers England has, and as we make the best beer in the world that makes them pretty much the best beers in the world!
My favorite is the Blakes Ale; its a very dark beer, apparently (according to the brewery tap) brewed to a Victorian recipe found in the Gosport archives from a local brewery by the name of Blakes that was closed many years ago. This stuff is full old world strength - 5 bottles and your going home in a wheel barrow!
Gosport has a tradition of brewing great beer; All the Navy's beer for nearly 200 years was brewed in a building on the other side of the square from Giles's house and within sight of the current Oakleaf brewery. The ration was 8 pints a day +1/2 pint or rum, Nelson won the battle of trafalgar on this stuff!
Here endeth the history lesson.

And just to complete the history lesson. The well that was built in 1788 to provide the water to make the beer for the Royal Navy is in our back garden:
This was taken from a ledge about 15 feet down the well (it is actually 50 feet deep), the day I discovered the well was there:
One of my madder friends offered to dive the well, he found this well bucket at the bottom, we reckon it's about 220 years old. He did have the grace to admit after the dive, that it was the scariest thing that he had ever done:
