Anyone here play video games?

I ended up working on speed runs (beating the game in the shortest amount of time) of Dark Souls a few months back and was able to get it down to 1h 25m. This took a considerable amount of time and it was punishing and rewarding at times… especially since this game took me around 40-60 hours to beat initially.
Epic shit. I have Demon Souls because the guy at GameStop told me to steer clear of Dark Souls b/c it would be too hard..LOL. I can't believe you beat it in 1.5hours. What's your PSN handle and I will add you to friends?
Also, anybody got Borderlands 2?
-
Word. I'll add you and derivative666 next time I play my PS3. Wish you weren't a PC gamer, I could use somebody high level to pair with on Borderlands 2…still no seraph crystals.

MP: Bastion also came out on Steam and PSN some time after the XBL-release I think.
I read a lot about everybody wanting TGS to be released, but I know nothing about it. Isn't it basically the spiritual successor of ICO?
I finished Mirror of Fate on 3DS and quite enjoyed it, but it is nothing special imho. The HD remake would be worth 25 bucks or less, but I regret paying fullprice for the 3DS-version. And damn, I really want to start SOTN, which version is condsidered the ultimate one, still the one for Saturn?

NOOOOO!!! The Saturn version was derided by everyone who played it. Yes there were new areas and you could play as Maria, but it was basically released half-finished and even it's creator disowned it:
"I understand why fans who've never played the Saturn version would be interested in those features, but I really, really don't feel good about them. I couldn't put my name on that stuff and present it to Castlevania fans." – Koji Igarashi, June 2007, on the Saturn port. (taken from wikipedia)
If you still have a Playstation capable of running PS games try to get hold of the UK limited edition as that came with an artwork book and manga prologue (translations are available online) and a soundtrack with various tracks from the games released up to that point. You should get one on Ebay for £60.00. Otherwise download from PSN or Xbox live for around £7.99. Then attempt the legendary 200.6% full completion
And yes, The Last Guardian was the third game to be released by Fumito Ueda's Team Ico after Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Originally it should have been released a couple of years ago. It kept getting delayed due to Ueda wanting to improve the game as much as possible. He was disappointed by the commercial reception to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, he thought people hadn't bought them because they weren't very good (when actually most people hadn't bought them because most people are idiots and the marketing for both of them was non-existent).
Then he left Sony but apparently stayed on as a consultant while he worked to finish The Last Guardian, that was last year I think. Since then it's all gone quiet :(.
EDIT: Just checked, and Bastion was never released for PSN, although it was released on Steam

I believe the only differences between Castlevania SOTN on the Sega Saturn and PS1 are small The Underground Garden and Maria fight. I could have missed something else…
Yes, that's pretty much it. I think there was another Familiar in addition to the Ghost, Sword, Bat, Devil and Fairy. And the character sprite for the Fairy was different.

So, just had an email notification that my copies of MGS: Legacy Collection and Puppeteer have been dispatched… Which is good. To arrive tomorrow, which would be even better... except the Post has been erratic lately and I've got to be at work in the afternoon :(. Just might have to start later.
"Metal Gear! it can't be..."
"Metal Gear is one of our most secret black projects, how did you know that?"
"We've had a few run ins in the past..."
(Sorry)

Saw a great photo of an independent game shop notice. Ran something like:
"We are sorry we'll be closed on Wednesday 18th September, but all our customers will be playing GTA V. The staff will be too".
I gave up on IV when I couldn't get past the bloody helicopter missions… Think I'll give V a miss for a while.

I'll play it eventually. Wonder how long it'll take GTA Online to descend into chaos…
-
GTA V on Tuesday - me brother took Thursday and Friday of… I have no work Wednesday afternoon and Thursday... Already contacted my buddy to come over... Shit might get real nerdy for a couple of days/ weeks...
Yes it most certainly will.

Puppeteer and Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection arrived today ;D. Unfortunately I was at work until 21:30 BST :(. Plus I've got work all weekend
And Monday/Tuesday. Might get up really early tomorrow, start MGS3. Maybe have time to watch the first cutscene ;).
I'll update with pics sometime over the weekend. The artwork book with the MGS: LC is really interesting. All cover artwork and posters, plus flyers.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, just watched Jestre destroy Dracula in Bloodlines :). Next up is Dracula X: Rondo of Blood. Know as Castlevania: Vampires Kiss in the U.S (and horribly rare/expensive to buy on SNES, although the port is supposed to be terrible).

Played it until the first boss battle (tank), felt dull to me. Some people say it's one of the best MGS games though.
A thing I liked about it was the fulton recovery system. It's a game you should play if your backlog is empty and you don't know what else to play imho. But now with GTA V, Puppeteer and stuff that's not going to be the case.
