        @davito:

        @bertoni I am with zwer take care of your thighs. As the denim is unsanforised and i understand the jeans is soaked so far, there will probably be some lil shrinkage left in a later machine wash. In total you can count approx 3% shrinkage horizontally and vertically with agitation in the machine imho. Thigh stretching in the 18 oz is pretty hard imo. Like zwer explained waist is usually no prob. Good luck 🙂

        Thanks for your help Davito:) Still umming and arring about my next pair….Raw Busters or 666S....hmmmm...It is complicated by the fact that I can never go TTS (me being a 35 waist an all). Nature sucks.

            Great pics. This is why I've sucked it up and have been wearing mine through a very hot and humid August.

              These landed to me already from the magic wheels of UPS. Gave them a hot machine wash but couldn't wait for them to dry to try them on. I can tell this is going to be possibly one of my favorite fits ever. This is the ultimate cut for gangly nancies like meself.

              Yes yes crappy fit pic for now, will update with "dry" ones soon.

              Many thanks to Paula and Giles!

                if i wear a 36 waist in the 461s and they are pretty lose ( like i can fit a whole flat hand between the pants and my belly ) could i get away with doing a super hot boiling water soak on these in a size 34?

                  ?? not sure why you would want to.. sounds like two sizes down should be perfect, but maybe im missing something. Also have found that throwing them in a hot wash (no soap, no spin cycle) provides enough agitation to get the shrinkage out of any jean. SO not sure if the boiling soak is ever a necessity, and personally would worry about cooking the patch…but again I could be wrong

                    Well that's what I mean. Could I get away with a size 34 after they got all the shrink out of them. It says they only shrink 1" in the waist…. Does that mean really they will shrink down to a 35" waist after I gave them a hot wash with no spin?

                      That may be the case depending on which run… I received a 32 from the last run and the 33 only shrank to about 31.5.... I wear a belt so not a huge deal and there was no way I could have got my thighs in anything smaller.

                        Hey guys, been offline for ages now but im looking to get back in the game. ATM, I'm looking to repair my current pair of 666S that have sadly been ripped pretty badly. I'm scared to find out that even the best (i.e. the folks at IR) might not be able to save these bad boys. It's a bit heart breaking because they're just starting to reach their prime as far as the fit and the fades go. I'm thinking worse comes to worse, I'll buy another pair of 666S and possible a pair of the 555-02's but of course I'll have to sell off a few organs first. Though, lets be honest, I don't think many of my organs are salvageable at this point. Too many years of drinking and puffing lol.

                        Anyway, here's a pic of the damage. What do you think? WARNING, it ain't pretty….

                          I suffer from the same affliction… But I'd try and get them fixed mate... It shouldn't be a problem...

                            I'm waiting to hear back from Giles to see what the deal is with repairs. Fingers crossed though. I'd be thrilled if these can get fixed up, like I said, these jeans have been with me through a lot and I'd say they've got a bit of sentimental value at this point. Annnnnd you know when you've become a denim dork when jeans have personal value lol.

                                          Well, I think I'm going to send in my jeans this coming week somewhere. I've heard lots of suggestions on the ol' world wide web but I guy pointed me towards a spot located north of the boarder so I'm considering them. Anyone have any experience getting repairs or alterations at  http://lovemeblue.com? Other contenders are schaeffers, denim doctor & denim therapy but those are all located in the U.S. & U.K. I wish I had enough for a damn new pair but I still wouldn't let me original pair go, I nearly got killed in those jeans one night lol. Push comes to shove, I'll be coming up with a creative recycled denim project I suppose lol.

                                          Edit: Was just looking at the gallery on the denimdoctor site, it seems like the guy can almost repair anything.
                                          Some crazy repairs for sure.
