I'm not quite sure where to put this post so I'll put it here.

Picked up my 634S jeans today. My first thought when picking up the package was "Wow that's pretty heavy for one pair of jeans." I took them out of the package and at first I thought Giles had shipped black ones by mistake. They are so dark. Tried them on and the fit is perfect. I've been wearing them all afternoon, and the are amazingly comfortable considering how heavy they are. I am truly impressed, my only complaint is that I can't afford to throw out all my other jeans and replace them with Iron Heart jeans.

Not sure if I should wash them or not, I like the look and feel just the way they are now.

I should be able to get some fit pictures later, if I do I'll post those.

        Mike

The 634S doesn't change very much after the first wash, but I usually give my jeans an inital soak when I get them

Does the 634S have fully lined back pockets? I know the SR has half-lined back pockets, and I had always assumed that the S had no back pocket lining at all, but I just saw on a Japanese website that the IH 634 (non-selvage) has fully lined back pockets, so I was curious to know if the 634S was the same.

Beatle, thanks for the response! You misunderstood me, though. The 634S doesn't have a lined back pocket at all then, but the regular 634 non-selvage has a fully lined back pocket. You can see it at this link here:

                http://en.item.rakuten.com/bluemarble/ironheart-renewal634/

It is shown in the second-to-last picture of the jeans, and it is also mentioned in the description. Again, this is the 634 21 oz., but non-selvage, so not the 634S.

Beats, Commodore was referring to the 634.

Commodore, the 634-s has no pocket lining (unless you are Haraki and maker yourself your own unique pair 🙂 :)).  The later versions of the 634 DO have full rear pocket lining.  I have them here on sale at the moment, down from 295 to 245.  G

Didn't feel like taking pics today for some reason. Maybe because I was at the dentist all morning and am jet lagged on top of it. I took on flick of the soak but that was it. Sorry to be a bummer today. I will make up for it real soon, just wait…  😉

So there really is no right way or wrong way IMO. I soaked them in the tub inside out with some non-scented Dr. Bonners for about 1 hour. They were constantly agitated as well since the drain is shit and I had to just keep filling the tub while soaking. After they soaked I drained the tub and let the filth run off. Then I used Dr. Bonners Eucalyptus Scented to scrub the inside and then outside of the jeans. I did not use a brush but rather a clean rag as I am not a fan of accelerating the wear. I focused specifically on areas like the crotch, back of the knees, cuffs, and waistband. Anywhere sweat builds up, I scrubbed! Then I rinsed them until n more soap was visible running off of them. They are currently hang drying under the heat lamps in the bathroom…

Gilbertt, it is all up to you. Mine were over 7 months but around 2 days of wear a week. Lately the place I have been were hot and I sweat quite a bit so I just felt the need. It's up to you but I usually would say the longer the better, unless there is a need (ie. Bad spill, stain, etc.). All up to you. Usually I document things but I decided I just want to let this pair be no worries. They are just jeans, GREAT JEANS, THE BEST JEANS, but just jeans. I take extremely good care of them and pay more attention to them than most things in my life but they are jeans and the are meant to age however they choose. I am sure I will love them. So much life to be lived in them and so many more places and adventures to be had!
