Ok so if i DO pick one of these up… sizing advice? I'm about a 38 chest right now and wear medium shirts. If i wanted to just wear a tshirt/flannel/etc under it, what size should i go for? Medium(38)?

I'd go with an M, but you may get away with an S.  DChill will be able to give you accurate advice…G

Splattered, I have a 38 and I like to wear mine over a hoodie or a jacket.  I've also worn it over a l/s button up shirt, but I just don't feel like I could sport it with just a T (my own personal taste).  G is right I proly could have gotten away with a small but I like the way my M fits.  Judging by what you said about how your other IH shirt fits I'd go with the M if I were you.  The small may just be too constricting of a feeling for you imho.  Hope this helps.  Btw you won't be disappointed this vest rocks.  Cheers.

Received it today! What a kick ass piece!

It's uhmm … rather roomy in the midsection though with a T or button up.

Wondering if i should have gone with a size S.

Yeah splattered I thought the same thing about mine, but overall I'm happy with it.  I really like the way it looks over a hoddie too.  I do feel it's too roomy to just wear with a T though.

Experimented with layering tonight… over a t-shirt, t + button up, and hoodie... i think this will work out fine afterall. With just a T its pretty loose but it still looks decent... with a T and button up it fills out a bit more or at least gives the appearance of it esp under the arms, and then under a light hoodie it is perfect. If it were smaller i think it may be just a tad too tight with a hoodie/jacket.

I'd love to have one of these vests.  I asked Giles the following question:

_I've been interested in getting myself the IH-9526V 22oz Super Black Vest and I wanted your advice on sizing since you certainly know the product much better than myself.

For reference I own a IHSH-12 Heavy Ombre Check Western Shirt in size small.  I think the small fits me nearly perfectly.  I definitely wouldn't call it a loose fit on me, and it's not too snug either.  I am interested in wearing the Super Black Vest over a shirt like the IHSH-12 or maybe even over a zip-up sweatshirt.  What size vest would you suggest for me?_

He suggested a small but also suggested that I ask some of you on the forum.  What do you think?

Also, it turns out that size small isn't available in the UK or in Japan anymore, and a new design of the superblack vest is scheduled to come out in the fall.  I don't know how I feel about the new vest. Do any of you have a size small that you would be willing to sell?  PM me!

well idk how iron heart shirts fit. but for AA shirts and pretty much any other, I wear medium. the small fits perfectly.
