^  I do all my running in Thorlo socks.  They are the best athletic socks, bar none.  Extremely comfortable and amazingly durable.  When you consider how long they last, they are without a doubt worth paying a few extra bucks for.  I recommend them wholeheartedly.

To be honest, I've been a bit disappointed with the Two Feet Ahead socks.  Always sagging.

I'm from the USA, so I've seen TFA socks at several retailers and they are not that great, especially for the price. I like Smartwool socks for winter and any low pro, Korean or USA made running socks for summer. Koreans make dope socks.

I mentioned the Merz socks because dude said he has a sock fetish.

No doubt.  If their socks are half as good as their henleys they must be awesome.

I didn't think of Merz. I have been meaning to look in to there gear though. Might leave two feet on the shelf then.

Cotton blend vs Merion wool blend? Thoughts.

merino just cause it wicks sweeat & moisture in general & retains heat.  oh & merino cause when wet it tends to retain heat, nothing like wearing cold wet cotton socks.  merino wool sucks when wet, like most fabrics to be honest, but not as much as cotton.  oh & merino is just kind of light & airy without feeling like you are wearing those thin dress socks.

                good sock related question

have 3 pairs so far and totally have to agree with you on this one…"ok" when wearing boots but with "normal" gear they´re getting on my nerves pretty fast!

I have many, many pairs of TFA and I like them however, they do not hold a candle to SmartWool.

Very interesting thread. I cycle in an Aussie brand; Bonds, which I then wear as my work socks all day. $10/pair. They're pretty decent quality holding up cycling and office wear for over a year. Boots tear them to shreds…

I wear Holeproof all day socks, for almost all duties. Best socks I've used, and I've tried many dozen..

Probably only avail in Aus though.

If you want local hookups I'm just a PM away. Their quality doesn't seem to have dropped when they moved off-shore, which is something good 🙂

I'm really tempted by Gammarelli socks, as worn by the Pope. They go up to a size UK 13 / US 14 / EU 48, which is good for those of us with larger than average feet.

(OK, the Pope's are white, but purple is better. :D)
