Damn, that Tanker boot is so nice. I like the Context version as well.
I'm not sure if I bought my whiskey longwings a bit large so will wear them in and then decide on what sizing is best for me before jumping in on another pair. Right now, I'm really leaning toward the ultimate indy from leathersoul.

also - what do you guys think about a low version ?
I'm not too sure it goes with the aesthetic but I have been eyeing these for some time now. I guarantee if these came out with an IH twist I would be stoked. I just don't see it though…

Simon,
Yup. Know all about the LS and Tassels make-ups. The idea I had in mind is a combination of the LeatherSoul Hawaiian NST Tanker and the Tassels Ravello Hunting BootRavello
Captoe
Metal eyelets with Speedhooks
360 degree Storm Welt
Commando Sole
Barrie LastProbably not going to happen but one can dream.

Just a heads up for the IHUK crew… J. Gilbert's next run of Cigar Indy's are scheduled for October. From what I hear, they got confirmation from Alden and their run is in production. 14/18 pairs are already pre-sold so let them know ASAP if you want one.
They'll have another batch for Jan/Feb 2011 but no confirmation from Alden yet on that order. Leffot also has their JC Cigar Indy for this fall but they haven't received their allocation of Cigar cordo thus no confirmation as of yet.

As promised a piccie of my current Shell Cordovan collection.
Left to Right :-
Alden 44621H Wingtip Boot in Ravello Shell Cordovan from Shoe Mart.
Alden 4020HC NST Tanker Boot in #8 Shell Cordovan from LSH.
Crockett & Jones Harlech Boot in what C&J call Dark Brown Shell Cordovan but it looks pretty close to Cigar to me.
I think I prefer the fit and feel of the Alden boots best although the C&J are superb as well.
