      Those shorts give me a bad flashback to my high school track days.

      A friend of mine had his junk slip out during a race.  Faced with the dilemma of stopping to adjust or keep racing, he showed his commitment to the team and kept going.  He was known as "Flopper" from that day on.

          Alright for today's effort

          Tabata - increased to 30 on 10 off x 4

          I held a steelbell both hands straight out from my chest. Then I twisted right like I was slamming the bell into a wall and returned as quickly to center as possible, then I did that off to the left side
          Mtn climbers

          Next got down on the knees and took the steelbell starting on the floor to my right I broght it in a ach over my head over to the floor on my left. did that back and forth
          with a smaller steelbell held between my knees I did double crunches

          Russian twists (modified) legs off the ground crunched up and with the steelbell held straight out twisting to both sides after each full twist pressing the bell at center overhead
          squat jumps with steelbell

          Slams with steelbell for 6 rounds

              25 mountain climbers
                5 assisted pull ups
              10 push ups
              jump rope till jello legs can not or jello arms can not

              i passed so much gas during this circuit i was happy to get out of the dungeon.  wil get images up when i can get someone to come down with a gas mask.  went to the doctor about all my creaking & cracking & he asked if i wanted to get an mri on my shoulder or knees. . . . after giving it some thought i decided the worse could happen is one of my limbs falls off & then i don't have to worry about it hurting any more.

              my doctor laughed & wrote something in his little book with a worried look on his face, which caused me to laugh.  he told me when i come back i have to bring a legal guardian, an adult,  or even worse my wife. think i won't be going back until after October 2013  🙂

              i think i'll keep at it cause if i don't mind the rest doesn't really matter.  oh also i have much more energy on a consistent level & have been able to easily catch my kids to embarass them when they are outside playing.  sure it's not an image any of you want (besides maybe seul) but my sex life has improved as well.  exercise is great stuff & this goruck challenge stuff has put me in a great space  🙂

                          Random Goruck challenge question.

                          There is talk of getting wet, but is there swimming?  Do i need to be Michael Phelps to do this?  Can deal with a dunk but swimming .  .  .  .

                              was just looking through the goruck site & they have some great work outs & seem to have come a long way. anyone that hasn't had a look in a while should take a look see . . .

                                    Oh yeah, it's a requirement in Oklahoma. Kids must be leashed at all times.

                                      tabata 4 rounds 30 sec each rest 10 sec in between

                                      lunges with sandbell overhead to start move it out front on the way down and back up overhead on the way back up
                                      spider man push ups

                                      squat press w/ sandbell
                                      wood chops on knees w/ sandbell 30 sec R 30 sec L then rest

                                      burpies x5 (angry words)

                                      suitcase sit ups w/ sandbell overhead
                                      plank pushups

                                      crushed it!

                                        Okay, it's been a while since I posted in here.  Still working at it.  I'm definitely getting stronger, but Z's little piece of advice re: increasing the weights was good for the ole' perspective.  I was literally planning a purchase of a 45lb. bell that day.

                                        I have 3 weeks of Paleo in the books.  Zero slip-ups.  I feel great.  It takes a little bit more planning (I get hungrier, sooner), but it's absolutely worth it.  My energy is through the roof; and, most importantly, my digestive problems have dramatically improved.

                                        Unfortunately, I am going to crash hard tonight.  I'm getting together with a bunch of old college buddies that I haven't seen in a long time.  I know I can eat right, but beer will be consumed.

                                            burned my neck at the range last friday with hot brass & have been using that as an excuse to slack off on continuing my GORUCK Challenge prep work.  the great thing is i feel like shit without the random workouts  >:(,  so i will be attempting a more structured routine sooner than later. will keep all posted

                                            zee i always took you more for a  Big John Stud or Bob Backlund kind of guy.

                                            that whoa!!! was motivating . . .
