So, for those of you who are interested in this sort of thing, I just got another pair of Viberg Service boots.  Here's my effort at the “pretty pictures” portion of the post:

Since G kindly allowed me to try on several of his Viberg's to help me figure out my size (10 E seems right), I'm now lusting after a pair of the Copper Task Smoke Jumpers…....once I had these on my feet, they just felt so good, and they look so much better in real life than in the photo's (and they look pretty good in the photo's, so that's saying something!)

Also seemed to be a perfect match for my olive 705's

Finn mate boondockers are roughout cxl and smoke jumpers collabo suede per my understanding. But might be wrong..there are more leather experts out here than me
