Tonight I drank Bud Light.  As far as I can recall, it's the first time.

I see no reason for there to be a second time.

Compared to what most UK pubs serve as their standard lagers (Fosters, Carling, Stella, Carlsberg), Bud Light is great. However, compared to real beer it is crap.

Mega, I almost hazed the shit out of you over that comment, until my rage was tempered by the remembrance that Oklahoma's Bud Light is "gas station" aka low-point beer aka 3.2. I'd rather drink hot dog piss than that stuff. It's quite possibly the worst beverage ever invented. Imagine pouring a regular Bud Light over ice and leaving it outside on a hot summer day for thirty minutes. That's about the gist of this vile brew. I'll risk mailing you a few cans if you'd like to try it, it might make you rejoice at the sight of a lukewarm Fosters!

My favourite part of the Oklahoma alcohol laws….

Under Oklahoma law, it is a felony to provide alcoholic beverages to the "mentally deficient," the intoxicated, and persons under 21 years of age.[3] Although low-point beer may not be sold where unclothed persons or persons with exposed private parts are present on the same premises, alcohol sales are available by the glass if permitted by the county. Conviction of this crime is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $500 for each offense.[4]

Damn, based on that, it's illegal to sell beer to anyone in Oklahoma.  Mentally deficient or where private parts are exposed pretty much covers the entire population…

jsj, you think Bud Light is bad, in Pullman, WA (where I went to school – WSU) everyone drinks Busch Light. It's the brew that doesn't even make the cut to be Bud Light. 30 bombs used to be like $15. I was back up there for our big rivalry game this year, and nothing has changed. They have grocery stores with giant, walk in refrigerators with boxes of the stuff, stacked to the ceiling. It's commonly referred to as "Pullman Water" in the area.

Seanocono, I'd drink Busch, Natty, Stones, High Life, The Beast, Strohs, PBR, Red Dog, Steele Reserve, OE, Colt 45, Ice House, or any other normal point beer on the planet before I'd drink 3.2 bud light or coors light. The only thing I ever drank as terrible as Okie-light was a 3 litre Chav bottle of White Lightning. It tasted like grain alcohol, chemicals, and high fructose corn syrup. Yuk!

In college I consumed case after case of Natty Light because it was soooo cheap. Worst decision ever. Should have sold plasma to drink the good stuff.

^Haha, can you even consider White Lightning beer? It's more like bathtub shine, right? Yeah, that sounds terrible… Busch Light and Natty Light are pretty similar. I don't think they even sell Busch Light in most states. Just Busch. I never see it here in California. That's a pretty good run of shitty beer you rambled off, though.

I think we can all agree that no shitty beer is nearly as bad as what the kids are drinking these days. Has anyone ever tried any of this Four Loko garbage? It's like malt liquor mixed with Red Bull and Vicks cough syrup. Now THAT is the worst beverage ever made.

And I thought Texas had shitty blue laws:

"Of Texas's 254 counties, 22[83] are completely dry, 183[83] are partially dry or "moist", and 46 are entirely wet. The vast majority of entirely wet counties are in southern border regions of Texas near Mexico, or in the south central part of the state. The patchwork of laws can be confusing, even to residents. In some counties, only 4% beer is legal. In others, beverages that are 14% or less alcohol are legal. In some "dry" areas, a customer can get a mixed drink by paying to join a "private club," and in some "wet" areas a customer needs a club membership to purchase liquor by-the-drink, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The newspaper demonstrates how variable the alcohol laws can be, even within small geographic areas. "…Move to Burleson, which has alcohol sales in the Tarrant County portion of the city but not in the Johnson County side of town.".[84] Today Beer and wine can be purchased in all parts of Burleson. The only location in the county where liquor can be purchased is at a couple of stores inside the city limits of Alvarado.

Texas state law prohibits off-premises sale of liquor all day on Sundays and off-premises sale of beer and wine before 12:01 p.m. on Sundays."
