Mega - I find the GR1 is perfect for two nights away for work, and a bit underused for one night trips. However, I'm not carrying a laptop these days, just my iPad.

Normal load out is two dress shirts, two t-shirts, wash bag, underwear, ipad in Portenzo case, Midori Traveler's Notebook, a book or two and a few other bits and bobs. Packed neatly, it all fits with some room to spare.

Well, the dimensions look good, it can incorporate a hydration bladder, and it has been used by special forces teams in combat, so it should be ok I guess.

Like everything that I like (25oz jeans, heavy flannel and denim shirts, double leather midsole boots for forestry fire fighters) I just love how ridiculously OTT it is. You can get something for a quarter of the price to do the job, but I want something thats still going to be doing the job when I'm not.

I only use it for travel, I'm afraid - I go to London every week for work, one or two nights. For hiking I usually use a North Face or Camelbak  bag, depending on what I'm doing. Or an ancient Karrimor.

I use it every day… Groceries, bankruns, take it to work,... It's immensely convenient, has just the right amount of space, and you can stuff quite a lot of gear in it... Plus: no branding on the outside and looks good (imo)... Even for a mature man (stop snickering)...

nothing. he lives in the UK and the bag comes from Germany.

you should have that item send to someone within the EU and then forwarded and declared as a lower value (at least that is what I would do).
