These are such good looking shoes.  I can't wait to see how they age.

the ones on ebay are calfskin. Mine are shell cordovan.

Also, note that the shoes up for auction a balmorals, meaning they have a closed lacing area, and the ones pictures above are bluchers with open lacing. Another difference is the length of the wings. All in all, they are both winged shoes, but my Long Wing Bluchers are much more casual than the wing tip balmorals. I would probably wear balmorals with a suit but bluchers can be dressed down with jeans.

I have to say, I've heard a lot of negative things about the Barrie last. In my experience so far with my new Longwings in Barrie, I actually prefer the Barrie to the Trubalance (403's). It seems to fit my foot a little better. I think the heel is a little too wide in the trubalance.  So far I have a pair in Barrie, Grant, and Trubalance. Barrie ftw! (I know this post is mostly me rambling, but I'm on my fourth cup of coffee. buzzzzzzz.)

Love the Barrie last as well. I think the Leydon last fits me the best. I size down a full size for the trubalance.

I only have the Leydon last, but the fit is really spot on.  I have always considered myself a 9D, the the 9D in the Leydon last is perfect.
