    @superfuzz:

    I just got my first pair of Iron Heart jeans, the 301s from SENY, they feel so great! And I'm already thinking about getting a second pair! I'm trying to decide between the 666 and the 555 fit in the 18oz denim. I'm a little confused because according to the IH site the thigh on the 666 is .9" smaller than the 555, in size 29, even though the 555 is a slimmer fit. Is that correct? I have to wait for IH to get either fit in a size 28 anyway.

    i found the 555 a closer fit to the 301 than the 666. the 666 has a larger leg opening (hem) so is roomier from the knee down. the 555 is much smaller in that regard..

      @Giles:

      No plans to re-run in the short term.  The 01 and the 03 are being re-run atm, but the 02 is selling much slower (for reasons i simply do not comprehend)
      Exactly the same
      We designed the patch and then decided to run the 18oz raws too.  300 patches is the minimum, so we decided just to go with the original patch

      i've noticed the 02 getting less love here too - makes no sense to me at all.

          Got mine today, thanks!

                    Got my 555 02 today, fits just  the right tightness in the waist and hips so confident that after sok and then wear thay will stretch back to be bang on. Little concerned at the knee area tho? if I lose much more there they going to be super tight! if i wear them whilst soaking in will that prevent to much soak or just delay shrinkage till the next soak or wash?

                    Jeans themselves are beauties, nice texture and detail in the denim and they are as stiif as a board!:-)

                      you are right, the shrinkage will just be delayed and will occur after the next soak/wash (as long you are not in them again)

                        Raw jeans shouldn´t be tight unsoaked/unwashed. You won´t have that much fun in the long term. Or try the Ruedi method 🙂

                        why so serious?

                          Post soak I lost an inch in the inseam, about 3/4 inch in the waist and 1/4 inch in the thigh and knee. The fight is tight at the moment but confident with wear it will be bang on. May soak again before I take it in for hemming on the weekend. Thumbs took a battering getting the buttons done up though 🙂

                              The fit is perfect, just got them back from being hemmed. Noticed though that some of the stitching is visible down the outside of the outer seam as if it's coming lose even though it's not under stress, is this common with IH? I'm worried the seam isn't going to hold?

                                  2 things might have occurred

                                  a- too tight

                                  b- when you were turning your jeans inside out during the soaking process, you might've put too much stress on the outseam

                                    Definitely not to tight, had tighter fits post soak no problem and it's visible down the entire length of the leg at points there is not stress such as the ankle, stressed seams from turning inside out….. Surely not?
                                    Giles, pics to follow give me short while.
                                    I will email them over to you hopefully I'm just being paranoid!
