I have jsut started kind of looking into samurai and was wondering if there are any slimmer cuts that are still 37"+ inseam after soaking…. (im am a 30 waist in IH-666-xhs) for reference I noticed on BiG it seems that the inseams correspond to waist size.

I love everything about those S3000VX24OZ-SG except the different color arcs.  Beautiful pocket bags, patch, hardware and denim, and the fit looks fantastic.  I even love that the arcs are painted, I'd just like them better if they were blue or red, not blue and red.  Of course, they'll fade with wear and become less noticeable, so it's not that big an issue.  Great buy, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out over the next few years.

Those measurements are PRE-soak?  That seems really small; about prefect for post-soak, though.

nice little package came in the mail today.  My first pair of Samurai jeans.  Bought them from a forum member while looking for a flannel shirt.  The wait for my MBB was killing me and I pulled the trigger on these S0500xx.  The price and size was right.

looks like the dneim from Lot.15 is a bit more irregular again (more than Lot.12). That's good 🙂

Indeed. I don't know why, but these pics make me want to get a new pair of jeans. Ah, the pleausres of soaking and first wear after they're dry…

it's really a nice fit. I'm indeed curious how the red and blue arcs blend in with the rest of teh jeans, once they are worn in.
It's also not my cup of tea but Evisu also make bright, colored arcs/gulls work

Who's a good online provider of Samurai jeans?  And is it really that hard to get a pair with their signature red tab into the States?

Best online provider in the states is BlueInGreen in NYC. As for the red tab, as long as you have a Japanese friend or a proxy buyer, it's fairly easy.

I'm sure a lot of shops will sell to the US on rakuten…easy peasy.

I've never used rakuten.  Is it safe and reliable and are there customs duty crap I need to worry about?

I love rakuten. Very safe and reliable etc , although I can see it being intimidating to a first time buyer. I've never had to pay customs chargers but I live in the US… Other countries may be more strict.
