Hi guys can anyone help me with sizing here,

I have pre ordered these in a size 31 but find the size chart a little confusing, it's says "washed size chart" but has 2 different measurements in each box, is this post and pre soak measurements?

      http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A//www.samurai-j.com/lineup/jeans/s3000vx24oz-sg/index.html

Basically I need at least a 12" thigh and a 31-32" waist when stretched out after a soak

JLQ: Oh. You cold soak or hot soak? If you don't mind,I would wanna check out the measurements. Thanks a lot 🙂

My concern is about the thighs also. Bbod size 32 thighs fits just nice for me I think , I rmb trying out 31 ,It was too tight for me.

My measurements for s710xx. The 1st soak was hot and 2nd lukewarm. Hope this helps.

          Nice Max.

How do you rate the 21 oz Samurai denim?

These are what I'm doing the next heavyweight comp in.. Your pair make me happy with my choice 😉

I love the denim. It feels more slubby and irregular than IH 21 ioz denim and also a bit crisper (not that soft). I like that. The 19 oz Denim by Samurai is still my favorite, as it's more slubby and has nice vertical falling.

But both denims fade pretty much the same: you skip the electric blue part pretty fast and get whiteish fades. That also causes those grey colour on 710s I suppose. The 21 oz denim was more royal blue from the start than the 19 oz denim or other japanese denims I had so far.
The fabric is really holding up very well and should take you through 2 years safely. So far my experience…

looks a bit strange to me and i´ve never seen anything like that in a size-chart before…maybe there are two numbers in the boxes to let you know that if you´re between ... to ... , go with a 30 or if you´re between ... to ... , go with a 31 and so on! just wild guessing though...maybe b_F can help?!

OR…it´s the post- and pre-wash measurements in one size chart?!

Yea that's what I was thinking maybe Post and Pre wash… It's really confusing. I've changed my order with 2nd to a size 32 now just to be on the safe side...what you think?

                      as it says: washed size.

it gives you the the variance which might occur with handmade products and the different washing&drying methods you could have used. That said…don't go by the official Samurai size charts

so my first guess wasn´t that far away 🙂 thx for clarifying though…

Thanks for the clarification! 🙂 so will the size 32 not actually be the size that they have in the chart? The reason I'm asking questions is because my first and only pair of SAMs were these :-

                            http://blueingreensoho.com/site/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=3888&category_id=1&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=62

I got a size 29 which has a larger waist than a size 31 (lot 12) That 29 is slightly too small for me know by the way, the waist is OK but my thighs are too large.

Thanks again for the help though!

You won't know until you got them and as those aren't released yet, no one can tell you if the size is right.
From my experience, the size 32 you ordered will measure 32" and shrink from there. Was the same with my S5000VX24oz. The heavier models seem to be more true to tag size when raw and the lighter pairs are more oversized
