Does the RS04 really only shrink .3" in the thigh like it says on the SE website? Some of the fit pics on sufu and on here look like a lot more shrinkage happened

My RS04's got more than .3" of shrink in the thigh.

edit*** my tagged size 33 ROY RS04 measure at about 12.25" at the thigh, one inch below the crotch seam.

Yeah mine got probably half an inch maybe a little more, but i soak hot and for a while

As most everyone here knows I do not measure shit! I honestly lost my measuring tape the last time I used it. I will however say this, I got my RS04's to shrink way more than SE's website suggested they would, but I really tried too as well.

Ages beautifully, pre-dates denim as a fabric for making work pants (though that is not necessarily a good reason for buying) , comes in a variety of weights, looks good smart as well as casual, saves you having to wear a Texas or Canadian Tux if that's not your thing…......

This. Plus it looks incredibly sharp with a denim shirt. I used to love combining my ROY Ducks with the 33.

I agree..there isn't a better color with denim than duck.  Not that I own anything duck but I do have a pair of cords that are similar In color and  it looks so perfect

It's also nice to break occasionally from jeans.  I wear duck every once in a while just for a change of pace.  I try to avoid being monochromatic, too, so when I'm wearing dark blue or black shirts, I like to pair them with duck pants.  I just think it looks better.  Of course, I could remedy that by wearing a pair of jeans long enough for them to get nicely faded, but that's a different issue…

I can't wear jeans to work so I wear duck chinos to work every day. Can't get away with ducks in a 5 pocket cut though it has to be a chino cut.
