Finn mate its difficult to compare. 705 is much heavier and whole different cut of course. But i think selvage serge in brown might age the same as brown cotton duck. Let us surprise.

These should behave similar to denim, since its a 2x2 twill and denim is usually 2x1 or 3x1. I really hope it fades like denim.

I suspect note, the weft and the warp are the same colour and neither are rope dyed….

G, I think I remember you saying the original incarnation lost color quick though correct?  Or was that significantly different?

The fabric feels very different.  I think the 705 will lose colour quickly and aged brilliantly, but it won't be an indigo denimy type fade.  More like a cotton duck fade.

the fabric is not compare with the 17 oz cotton duck
the cotton duck feels like paper against this beast!
