This mornings task was to walk the perimeter of the island to get a lay of the land.  We passed 3 bars and stopped at each.  Saw this little guy minding his own business..

And went for a great snorkel.

This afternoons task is to go buy a fish identification book.  I have a goal of positively identifying 100 separate species whilst we are here.

In other news.  I have had 3 meals here thus far.  Dinner last night included Dhal curry, breakfast this morning included Dhal curry and lunch today included Pumpkin curry - I'm in my element….

Watching the video of the arrival is really a trip.  Seems like a perfect way to document the experience, its got everything but the smell!  Well played.

It's funny, because I could totally imagine the warm air and the smell. I was right there on that plane in my imagination. Great video indeed!

Struggling with technology here.  I bought wrong charger for the waterproof camera - what a twat.  Also having a few issues with the head cam, may be able to mend it, may not. Anyway, I have 2 other cameras with me, just need to pull my finger out, and take some snaps….

It was Western night at the restaurant tonight.  yes, amongst the plethora of brillant curries, there was roast turkey and cranberry sauce…...

The plan for today was to do a lot of snorkelling.  That we have done.  We have found more Napoleon Wrasse, a bunch of sharks and a few turtles.  We are no just relaxing and preparing for the sporting highlight of the year, yes it is the final of the Maldivean Anniversary cup (surprised I had not heard of it before…...)
