Since I've lost weight I thought I was past the thigh rubbing thing. They don't rub when I run or I'm wearing swim trunks, for instance. I'm going to fix them up and try losing a few more pounds in attempt to take care of the problem.

Wouldn't want to size up as the rest of the jeans fit well.

don't worry mate. you're not alone and mine's worse than yours. but i learnt to just feck it and wear the crap outta them. anyway these are rugged wears so no point babysitting them.

Losing weight doesn't necessarily change anything.  I've been doing that to my jeans since I was in high school and weighed 35 pounds less.

Perhaps it's because we have prodigious, um, other things causing the rubbing…

hi usually im wearing the flat head f310 in tag size 29. i've already tried ih 666s in size 29 and 30. in size 29 i really can't button all of them. but in size 30 i can button it, but it take 2 fingers in front of my stomach, so its bring some space. which one is better? take 29 or 30? consider this is an unsanfor denim..

pre- or post-soak?

if its pre-, go with the 30. If it shrinks ~1" and that is too much, wear them around while slightly damp to get the waist where you want it.

Expect about 1 inch of shrinkage in waist and 2.5 inches in the leg.

So: 30. Assuming you tried them on in a store, thus pre-soak…

agreed. sloppy is the word i was trying to describe but couldn't put my head to it. this makes you look neat/smart or whatever but i just prefer this look more than you in the beatle buster.

G, would you say these fit bigger than FH 3009 in the same size?

Sorry I know you asked Giles, ill just tell you I have both. 3009, much fuller cut, esspesially the thighs. I had both in 34

How about the top block? Essentially I'm interested in knowing which pair has more give post soak. And I find that the size charts provided by Flat Head jeans are almost entirely off–it's ridiculous. (Pre soak measurement for 34s was 15.7 compared to the 35 advertised on, say, SE.)

not G here PJ, FH3009 is therotically same cut as IH634, devils fit is slimmer. Have both like nerkg but do not wear the fh that much and they are in the Office for backup so not able to do a direct comparison right now. Overall the devils are superslim where 3009 are straight leg with bit of taper knee down.
