Cherrs Nerkg, i like these 1500's heaps

          Heres some info on them

"One of Melbourne, Australia’s most popular sneaker stores is Provider. Back in 2008, the shop had its first chance to do a special collaboration, the result is the New Balance 1500 seen here. Having a long and strong relationship with New Balance Australia aided in getting the sneaker off the ground. “The concept of the shoe is based around the phrase ‘breakin’ necks’, which is unique to sneaker heads. There are so many things you can do these days with this kind of product – tagging, printed boxes, numbering – but it’s not always needed.

Featuring the Made in England tag on the tongue there is no doubt the sneaker is created with finest of materials and build quality. Looking to focus on a balance of materials and colors, the sneaker is comprised of a combination of Grey, Blue, Black and White. Released to very select retailers around the globe, the folks at Provider also created matching Wayfarers to match with the kicks…"

          Peace

why should caliroots (or any other online store!) should pay for customs?…

^sorry, I should have clarified. It said shipping was (x) amount, never mentioned anything about any thing else, and it wasn't customs I meant to say brokerage fees. And the first time I heard ANYTHING about it was when the ups guy was standing at my door asking for US150 dollars, after I had paid 550 for the jacket 2 weeks prior. At the very least they should have warned me to decide is I would still purchase the item

And if its a UPS issue, which I'm not sure, then they should ship DHL, or let me choose BEFORE all the hassle. I'm not saying they're a bad company, just saying I had a bad experience and would never ever buy from them again. To top it off when I called to ask them about it they were rude and inconsiderate.

So how would someone that hasn't bought something before know that? It's just the customers responsibility to know this with no info from the company shipping? If you look at there web page it didn't mention it either. I'm thinking they want people to just pay it and not ask questions because if they tell you ahead of time they may lose the sale.. Shady business practice. And poor customer service.

I bought shoes from Italy before, it was included in price and everything explained to me ahead of time.. By the way none of this is directed at any of you, I just hate bad and manipulative customer service and would tell anyone not to shop at caliroots any chance I get. It would be one thing if it was 20 bucks, but if it was a chance of being 150 dollars. Ahhh you might want to mention that before I complete my purchase

Brokerage fees are designated by the country. Some countries allow UPS to act their own broker, some require 3rd party brokers, such as Canada. It is simply up to the government of the destination country as to whether this happens, same as customs fees. UPS is merely doing what they have to do to deliver your package. They are not making money off of customs or brokerage fees.

I'm not sure about UPS not making money on brokerage. I never get charged brokerage by anyone but UPS and I doubt that it's built into other companies fees as they'd be much higher.

Example: My IHSW-03 - I got charged $20 brokerage from UPS. My TWSH-03, delivered via Parcel Force/Canada Post - no charge.

That's all Canada, and it is hit or miss.  Sometimes I get charged.  Sometimes I don't.  And that goes for UPS, Canada Post, etc.

Canada (must be marked as gift)
Total declared value under $75, no charge.
Listed as being made in Canada, no charge.

USPS/Canada post are a bit more lenient if the above are not labeled as such. UPS, on the other hand, will kindly put two Jake Steed Dildos in you, all the while giving you a broad, toothy smile.
