If you happen to be between two sizes, choose the larger one. Just because it's so super thick. It will soften up quite nicely within a couple of months and you can accelerate the process by just bending it but this is clearly a belt you don't want to wear too tight and hope that it stretches. 😉 Also, I wouldn't put any leather care product on it. Just some spray like you put on shoes but not Obenauf cream or polish or mink oil or whatever. The color is gorgeous as it is and it darkens only a little bit.

The only oxblood coloured'uns I found were 200 €. Also: how wide are those?.. I only wear 2" belts.

This is the direct link. Width is 4cm and that is correct. I measured it. Where did you see any oxblood belts on the manufactum site? I just looked and couldn't see any. The ox part of it is that the leather is from an ox, as opposed to a cow, which is why it's so thick. Men need a thicker skin. LOL!

Yeah nm, ox leather is what I meant. 1.5" won't cut it for me, unfortunately. Still: sick looking belt.

C'mon, Seul. 1.5" on that belt is good. If you made it 2" it wouldn't look like a human belt anymore but like a cinch strap for an elephant saddle. 😃

I just got this bad boy for anyone who might not have seen it. It is really intense! I am sure there will be some skepticism from some but I really do like it.

It's a beautiful belt, no doubt at all. I also really like the buckle. It's the price that makes me swallow hard. I mean for the same price you can get a sterling silver buckle and a custom made strap with double bridle leather, all of which made by craftsmen in the US. It would be a unique piece and not one of 100, which is already good, of course. But, as y'all know by now, I'm a sucker for price/value comparisons. Oftentimes value is subjective but if you take the example of a cast pewter buckle and an semi-precious stone inlaid sterling silver buckle, then add a single layer strap without stitching compared to a double layer strap with stitching, the latter should objectively win. Yet if you like the simpler belt better, your choice is made. I've made similar choices for stereo equipment but even then I kept the relative price/value in mind. Just that the absolute price/value was rather screwed. 😃

I completely understand this. It was my "Silly" purchase of the year but I have admired its simplicity for some time. I am not one for much decoration on a belt or anywhere for that matter. I guess we shall see how it turns out…

Saw that. It's hot. I wish I could afford that belt, but alas, other responsibilities.

FWIW, I bought the Dry Bones belt after seeing it on you, Lando!!!

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose

Yeah, I am in the midst of a splurge right now. All this IH, my new computer, and a new camera. I am sure there are some things I am missing. Thank god I have been saving for the camera and computer so I will not be taking a direct hit on those items. Glad I could persuade you to cop that DB belt! I love mine but it is on the verge of being too large. I might just have to try to get one a size down…

Can't you resize the belt or punch another hole? Should be possible, no?

I am on the last hole and the end of the belt is so long now that I have to shift the whole buckle as far right as my belt loop allows to compensate… And it is still annoyingly long. It is just to big.  😞 I will post pictures tomorrow if I have a chance.

LandoCal, return it boy ! It ain't worth having something expensive and dear that doesn't fit. A too big belt is just all wrong. I thought long and hard about just suffering (pulling a "Simon626-LA" ) through my recently returned SuperBlack Bootcut (IH 9461) – which would have been hard considering I could not even button the 2nd-to-top-button...but maybe I could have had someone else do it for me...the point is, if somethin' doesn't feel right, it's wrong - -send it back.

For those that are interested in belt buckles this guy is in Austin and makes some incredible glass buckles.  They don't break easily fwiw I have 2 and they have held up very well.  He does custom work too, check him out.
