Received a response from Kiya. He said it was a mistake in the listing. These jeans do not have a selvedge crotch detail. Also, looks like the listing on the SE website has been updated to reflect this.

It is highly unlikely that any true derivative of the 634S cut will have that detail.  The original cutting pattern for the 634s does not include it….

Like the true to original version, which includes also the belt loops not sewn into waistband. Details on the other Models are nice too and give a special touch to the jeans

Whoever got the selvedge fly detail, consider yourself very lucky. Since Jestre said this and the 72 were his final purchases for awhile, I'm happy he got the random selvedge crotch detail.  Good things happen to good people.
