IHW-01 (Melton Wool shirt)
-
I typically wear the Melton over a T. It works just fine. I can wear it over a heavy chambray and that also works. Before I took delivery of the Meltons, I asked Haraki if I could wear one over a chambray, he said "no they are the same size", he was suprised when in fact, I could

I've kinda given up on the ironheart.jp website. Their sizing is never correct. I've learned to trust Giles and Kiya when it comes to all sizing issues

hey everyone!
the melton shirt has become a favorite of mine. it looks great with some 634S's and flipflops. and a beatup old "kum-n-go" mesh trucker. i even like the cut pockets. i couldnt stand the idea, but in reality it keeps me from carrying my iphone and wallet in my shirt pockets so it drapes much better.
anyway, its been awhile since this subject has been broached but…..
i know there was talk of perhaps a run in black, but after seeing it and wearing it, i think black is unnecessary.
what about a melton in any other color? maybe for fall 2010?
red? yellow? baby blue?
HERMES ORANGE? (a light tangerine basically)
you tell me.

I got this jacket on a whim, thinking I was going to use this for mostly casual wear, but this jacket is easily the most versatile jacket in my closet for both hanging out on the porch having a single malt with a bud or heading over to an inspection in my shirt and khakis
For those of you who don't have this jacket, you NEED one
-
I wear it as both a Shirt and a Jacket. More so as a shirt myself (Buttoned Up) and a lot with one of my two IHSH-19's underneath for a little pop of color. This should be dubbed the IHW-01 Versatile Wool Shirt.

They proved super duper popular. We may do another run…G
oh my….
be still my heart.....
now, about that medium orangey color , i actually do realize that certain luxury company out of gay parree' may not appreciate it. my wife made that very clear to me when i brought the idea up. there sure are plenty of hues out there.
i wear this with a wifebeater , 634S, gt's (or flipflops). i originally disliked the pockets, but i am a believer in them but only on this shirt. the fabric is so heavy it supports it. they would suck on teh flannels, i think.
dont change anything but the color! this solid color IH super shirt fills a need for when i cant wear a flannel pattern.
man cannot live on flannel alone.
gee, perhaps other solid color IH shirts?
anybody else dig that idea?
wow, another melton ??? count me in right now.

Ha. Translation = Yes Simon I dig that idea!

I don't think the Hermes orange is a patented color. Besides, if you are just a nanometer off on the colorimeter it's not technically the same color anymore. And it would be pretty hard to even get that close in the first place. Can't hurt trying. Now, if you put buttons with Hermes writing on it, you got a problem but not for the color, I'd say. I didn't buy an Hermes orange watchman's cap when I saw it in Venice this November. Could still beat myself for missing out on that. But I had just made so many other purchases, I couldn't really swing it.

got it Lando!
ahhh dunno …... the very idea of the melton in a different color. something significant or some shade so odd as to define the shirt itself...
a pytka blue
cerulian blue
that hermes orange...
a fly yellow
a flat greythat list could just go on and on....
(what type of red?)
now lets not forget that we need to pair it with a HIGH contrast stitching color!
vanilla shirt with red stitching
baby blue with yellow
talk about OPTIONS!
gee, it just bagels the mind.
yup.
