You would have many more Freedoms if you were somewhere like Montana or Wyoming as opposed to Utah!

Excellent point, Lando. I drove through Wyoming, Montana and Colorado on my way back from a Highway 1 trip that led me from Texas to Vancouver. Liked Wyoming and Montana even better than Colorado. My fave would be New Mexico, though.

New Mexico is very nice but I am partial to a more Northern climate myself.

I'm sorry. But San Francisco/Oakland/Berkeley it is for me. Though I'm partial to Boulder, Colorado too. Boulder is urban hipster cool, not in small part because of The University of Colorado at Boulder…it's the Berkeley of Colorado/Utah/Wyoming/Montana. Plus, the Rocky Mountain foothills are literally a skip and a hop away from every nook and cranny of Boulder.

                  Yeah.

                  Individuals: good.

Crowds: hideous, teeming, scary hydra organisms

Beatle – "Brokeback Mountain" style ? The scenery in that movie was soooo beautiful...! The plot was said to be Wyoming but the movie was actually filmed in Alberta, Canada's Rocky Mountains.

As for me, I wouldn't enjoy anything but an urban life. I'd miss people.

"…going to montana soon, gonna be a dental floss tycoon" (sorry Frank!)

guys, i gotta tell you something. i live in LA and SF but if i really wanted to bag it all,  i would head off to montana somewhere around whitefish (a town near glacier park). i was on the road with my old band for a month thru wyoming, montana and the dakotas and got to see it all up close.

all teh states up there are outrageous (and the college towns are crazy), but montana is superb with its unbelievable natural beauty! much bigger natural beauty that the rest .

of course, you have to give up civilization, but as anyone reading this at least you will have a set of 634S's and a heavy duty flannel (or 10) because you will need it.

oh yeah, "going to montana soon...... " now i cant get that tune out of my mind

                            jeez,

                            simon

You'd need a cargo plane to sufficiently provide me with wine for a month, though…

I also bet I can survive on homemade falafel and tempeh pizza.
