for us bigger european or american dudes, the thighs can be a problem on the 1108 cut.
fit update with a cuff. adjusted the color a bit. and damn..are the back pockets far apart

b_F, how much shrinkage did you get in the inseam? The measurements and predicted shrinkage on BIG have me thinking that the leg might end up being as short as 33.5" on a size 31, which is not so good for me.

hey dude. I didn't take pre-soak measurements this time but the inseam measures 35" now. But I still think there might be an inch left of shrinkage.

Well, as I'm not the biggest fan of overly destroyed jeans, I like the second one better.@Sugar: the 1108 is a great cut so far and I really like this 15,5oz denim. The hairyness and felt-like look reminds me a lot of my S0500XX Texas Cotton. But without the heavy slubs and fibers looking out of the denim

Some Japanese Stores classify the 1108 cut as a 66 cut. Some gues from this forum say they are more like a '47 (slim straight with a higher rise).
At least it features typical XX/40s details.

Now to the denim. The XX version uses the 15,5oz denim made of 100% zimbabwe cotton.
The selvage lamé has a pink/salmon color
The denim is quite hairy. I like it a lot
The weave isn't too regular and there are light slubs in the fabric
And first signs of fading

Just got a pair of 1109xx a few days ago so here are some pics
This pic is to compair the 15.5oz denim used on the 1109xx and the standard 13.7oz denim used on the 1108'sSince my partner sarah insists on using energy saving lightbulbs i decided to remove tje closet door and look for better light

Thanks Eli! No it wasn't really a question. I always like to show in my fit pics what options there are. If those had a third leg, I would have added a single cuff
Usually I wait until the denims soften up before I start wearing cuffs permanently as I can't stand rips and unwanted fades on the cuffing line.
