I thought everyone and only new jeans, look at Self Edge, DC4, Iron Heart, Ratuken etc… and you will see you same that no measures is identical.
There isn't all fortunate to have a shops that sells  Iron Heart on her city and I am sure that this help many new purchasers of this great brand

shrink, follow IHUK's way of measuring and then compare with their given measurements. its not that hard. 🙂

other places might have their own way of measuring thus their measurements might be different. for me, i follow the IHUK way of measuring and then compare. 🙂 hope this helps.

Giles also has a thread somewhere that shows what real people wear as far as sizes and their height, weight, etc if that is what you are looking for…not sure.

yeah at every page of their product, check the red box beside "measurements" there's a "how we measure" box which would teach you how to measure the IHUK way. 🙂 follow their steps and compare the measurements with yours. then you're good to go. 😉

Future buyers should measure their best fitting pair and compare it to each given measurements.
It always helps to read through the whole specific thread to gather the most important information…

                      why so serious?

Hi all, I am new to the forum and to IH. I just bought a pair of 634S. After reading the forum, I am wondering if I bought the wrong size. I tried on both size 29 and 30. I couldn't button the top button for size 29 but was able to for size 30 (with great difficulty). I ended up buying the size 30. Should I have gone with size 29 instead? Thanks in advance.

I think you made the right choice. Buttoning with difficulty = sized right providing the thighs aren't too tight.

Welcome to the forum zinc!  No, I think you went with the right choice- you've got to be able to wear em!  If the 30's are tight but livable, you'll be fine.  No worries!

For the size 30, the thighs are tight but not skin tight. For size 29, I probably won't able to sit down in them.

Yes. 29 would have been a bad choice.  In fact, based on what you've said, I'd guess you could have easily gone with a 31.

Bald Texan is right, and the bald finn would have given the same advise. (Do not listen to fake Finn's) 😉

This cut is not made to be tight. I realize that the denim, especially the 21oz denim due to its construction, has a tendancy to stretch. I just don't understand downsizing I guess.  I would listen to bald Chris and InjunJack.  If I were you I'd take 31. Whatever you pick though I'm sure you'll enjoy…
