Ok. Well, if you don't have a grey belt (I just got one but it wasn't so easy to find) I think a black belt would be good when you wear the boots with black jeans and a tan or light brown belt (like the leather piece between the shoe and the sole) with blue jeans. At least that's what I would do.

Here is a short video I suspect you will appreciate.

Awesomest! Thanks, Stewart! They make the thread themselves. Jeez. That explains the price. However, I was surprised how few measurements they take for the last. I'd have thought they actually make a mold of your foot and then work on the cast from there. Still impressive. Thanks again. I put it on my twitter right away.

That was a great idea! I wound up going with a Dry Bones belt because it matches the brown that goes around the sole of the shoe! Thanks!

Alright. The posting thing works but from Flickr it involves quite a few steps. Which brings us to boots.
Here are the boots so far in my "collection" of shoes. Nothing like Lando's or Pete massiv Imelda level, though.
The first pair are some Ferragamo Jodhpurs
Then we got some J. Crew Desert boots (chukkas). These are made in Italy and are even simpler than Clarks but of slightly higher leather quality:
Then some Bally Chukkas, shearling lined, Goodyear welted rubber sole. Great for the winter and they have a nice polish right now:
Finally, my pride. A pair of JM Weston Beaubourg Chelsea boots from a single piece of leather (the polish of these is not quite fresh but anyway I prefer not to make them military):
I wear all of these with jeans but they also work with other kinds of pants. The Ferragamo and Westons (and even the Ballys in the winter) can be combined with a suit quite nicely.
Enjoy.Till

Here is a post from Dexter on Style Forum. I thought it was very helpful to have the Alden Indy Series laid out like this…
Ok back on topic.
I actually created this compilation on the various Indys that are out there on my PC. I have to thank zippyh and amlai for this obsession.
Figure i'd post it here so everybody can check it out.
Alden of Carmel:
AF76 Black Shell Indy
Black and Tan Indy
J.Crew
J.Crew Indy
J. Gilbert:
#8 Cordovan Indy
LeatherSoul:
Tan Suede Indy
Snuff Suede Indy
Ultimate Indy Brown Chromexcel
Ultimate Indy Black
Ultimate Indy Kudu
#8 Cordovan Indy
Black Cordovan Indy
Cigar Cordovan Indy
Whiskey Cordovan Indy
Repro Indy
Vintage Indy
Leffot
J.C. Indy
The ShoeMart
40514H
40517H
I probably missed a few here and there. There are also new makeups coming out but I didn't include them in the list. I find it quite interesting that demand for the Indy boot would create this much variation.
My favorites are the Snuff Suede Indy, Ultimate Indy Brown Chromexcel, Ultimate Indy Kudu,
Repro Indy, and Vintage Indy. -
Just thought everyone might like to know (Especially Simon-Malibu) that LeatherSOUL will be opening in Los Angeles @ 9513 Santa Monica Blvd. on the corner of Rodeo. They are shooting to open in early May!!!
