I think they should be required to vote. Most of the people don't even REALLY know that the presidential candidates are specifically supporting. So many times people vote on a general idea of what candidates support, and generally speaking, all the candidates are very similar with slight differences. It's when you get specific that candidates finally seem a world apart.

You're absolutely right. They should not be forced to take a test but they should be forced to take a lesson. Speakout.org had a really great device for that online. It would ask you a series of around three dozen political questions from all categories. Basically it would pose the problem and then give answer options. Each problem could be clicked on and it would expand to give you background info and reading on it. And even each answer could be expanded to tell you what it actually means if you answer this. So it was easy enough to just breeze through but also in-depth enough and thorough. When you got through the questions it would tell you which candidate was most in line with your line of thinking.
You'd get clear numbers, e.g. Clinton agrees with you on 24/36 but Obama agrees with you on 31 of 36. Then it would detail each response for each candidate and show you their voting record on the issue and also some quotes what they have said on that issue.
It takes 30-60 minutes to do. Should be required. Really.
Even well informed and intelligent people are usually not completely up to speed on all issues. So you might know that candidate A is really favoring your top three issues but maybe he is totally against your secondary issues. It happened even to my mom. She wanted to vote CDU (which she had never done). In Germany that's center right. In the US that would be center left (more left than democrats). I told her that if she does that, she will vote also for certain things she really doesn't like. I made her take the equivalent test from a German news site. It showed that she was much more of an FDP profile than a CDU profile and that even the Green party and the SPD were ranking as high as the CDU if not higher. She was impressed and thanked me for saving her from voting for the wrong party.
So, yeah, being informed is super important. Which brings us back to the education thing.

My main prob is similar to Simon's main problem. But the real issue is, I'm a pretty simple person..jeans and t-shirts is Shubha. Throw on a jacket, I'm complete. I like the Iron Heart shirts I have so far because they can double as a "shirt jacket". The fact is, as you know – I'm not that fashion conscious. When I read Till's posts on this designer or that, or his posts on fashion dos and don'ts -- I just get lost. While I admire Till's repertoire of knowledge, I am not bothered to keep up -- because I'm a simple jeans n' tee kinda gal.

dead has finally succeeded in drilling a basic denim truth into my pathetic little brain. I've been wearing my Samurai S0500xx for a few days consecutively now. Comparing these to Iron Heart is like comparing apples and oranges (excuse the cliche`). These jeans just feel s-o-o-o different than Iron Heart – in a good way. They're crispy, crunchy, slubby, etc...and by no means are they thin "pajama" jeans. I should be getting my FH3001 in a day or two, BTW (14.5 oz). Don't get me wrong...Iron Heart reigns supreme, no doubt. They are the best made, highest quality jeans in the universe. But sometimes, you just want something different on your body. These Sams are draping much better on me now. Seul, you'll be happy to know...I've started wearing a belt (Iron Heart, of course) -- they've gotten a little looser, which for this style of jean -- is a positive effect. The best I can describe the Samurai S0500xx cut is -- they're like IH 634S except more tapered, thinner thighs, etc...and they're lower waisted. You need to kinda wear these jeans low to look good.

You mean Giles sent him the jeans and he didn't pay? That is not good.
Otherwise if he ordered it but it wasn't sent out yet and he hasn't paid yet, no harm no foul. He may have just been busy with other stuff.

Yes , hid did - Michel wanted the jeans really bad but didn´t have the funds - so he asked Giles to send them out - and he would send the money on payday…Giles being nice and whatnot agreed - and now some guy in Miami is walking around in a pair of 634-s without having paid for them,

As you know, I banned a user yesterday. the fist that we have banned. Of course I am paying for my own stupidity, because I shipped the stuff before payment. See his email to be below. But, I do send stuff out on trust a lot and this is the first time in 6 years, I've been stiffed, and I take it personally. He has not responded to email or PM's since getting the jeans…G
