IH-634S-GR - 21oz Grey Selvage Straight Cut Jeans

I received my pair yesterday after placing the order earlier in the week. You guys really have incredibly fast shipping. The color is very interesting and hard to describe. Dark charcoal/black/deep navy blue/ash gray. It really changes with the light.
Unfortunately I sized up one too many not fully realizing until the tags were off. If anyone is interested in a size 33, please let me know. They are basically as new as used can be (worn for ~5 hours around the house).

Wondering if anyone else noticed that these don't stretch quite as much as the 634S. My 32s have only stretched about 1/2inch. Started at 31.5 and now 32.

So after soaking these last night and having them drip dry in the shower, I've come to the realization that they will most likely not fade a bit. None of the water dripping into the shower was stained from the denim. I personally don't care either way (if they fade or not), but thought others may want to know. I may be wrong, but judging from the water, it will be tough for them to fade. In contrast my permanent indigo Triple Works had dye dripping off them.

^ I would take that as a sign of quality dying rather than any indication that these will not fade. They might be stubborn, true, but denim should attain contrasted fading with wear, not washing.

Yea, I have only worn about 3-4 days but I am already seeing (not to be crude) ass fades with clearly lighter grey color coming through. So, i am sure they will fade.

Interesting. Maybe mine are a bit different, since I wore them about 10 or 15 times before soaking and not a single sign of fading. But…..I may be wrong. Good thing it's not my priority when buying IH.

Cool. So, I would expect it to fade with black undertones (versus white), which will be nice. Hoping it will be much more subtle than the traditional indigo/white fades.

I've noticed mine have gone 'shiny' in a few places (bits on the belt loops and back pockets) like people report on the superblacks, no fades yet but only a few days wear so far. They are an awesome colour, so fade or not I'm happy! I'm reluctant to wear my 634s with light coloured shirts tucked in, due to indigo transfer, so the 634GRs seem 'safer' as dress jeans maybe.

For almost no wear my pair has some extremely faint light grey marks on the knee and at the bottom where they rubbed the ground, so I assume these will fade quickly. Here are some pics (not of the fades, too faint to photograph): http://imgur.com/a/nBzmj

after a quick cold soak of these in the shower last night, they seem to stretch much better now. Feel like they're form fitting as I'm wearing them.

I'm presuming these will be at Self Edge for the party in a couple of weeks? I've been contemplating a pair for a while, but I want to see the look of the denim in real life before I commit to a pair. I'm something of a traditionalist about jeans, and they'd be my first pair of non-indigo jeans since childhood.
EDIT: probably should ask Kiya about this, shouldn't I? Since it's his party, he'll have the most accurate info…

Now that has cooled down I have got about a weeks wear in these and I love em. Strange hues to the denim, so I can't tell if things are fades, or lighting, or even dirt. Often, I just rub the spot, and look changes. So, this is going to be a fun process.

I still don't see any fading on mine, just some very light wear marks (not from the darker underlying denim). Kind of strange, but I don't mind it not-fading. Allows me to wear them to work.
