Looking forward to seeing you HH SD's Lucifer
Love the cap toe, not so keen on the block heel, but it's all personal preference.
On a downside, I just realised that I can't take my SJ's to New York. They would be a nightmare to take on and off for customs, and far too heavy for the case, especially as I'm picking up some more big boots from Urb whilst in NY
-
haha, yea, that would be a PITA to deal with for security.
on a personal note, my oxfords will be going back to White's to get sized down .5. They are just too loose as is, and I get serious pain if I lace them snug to get rid of the heel slippage.
-
That sucks man, it took me ages to figure out my "correct" Whites size. I'm a true UK 10, so first off I tired an 11, too loose, then a 10.5 which was ok but still a little loose. My actual perfect size in Whites is a 9.5, and I have absolutely no idea why :-\
I also just purchased some second hand Hathorn Northwests in an 11, which I am hoping to pad out with thick socks for winter….or give to my cousin for Christmas
-
I think I would be a perfect 9.75 in Whites. They fit big, and the extra toe room is amazing, but it also makes for an interesting fit decision. I get away with a 10 in my 8" SJ/BH's because that extra 8 inches of boot allows for snugging up. The oxfords are lasted different, plus they dont have all that boot to make up for any extra slip. Regardless, im cool with it, I love the Oxfords, will love them even more when they fit properly:)

NCA, love those oxfords man, I'm in mine right now. How are you liking them so far ?

I just got them, so I can only share my first impression:
the leather is absolutely flawless, stitching and details are also as good as always.
That said the right shoe's "wings" are lastet a tiny bit off center, which is a bit irritating. I haven't yet decided if it is too much. These are my first Cristy soles, which I had previously avoided since they were everywhere and were said to wear out too quickly.
I now understand why, since they are really very soft. I find that quite comfortable and also practical in many situations. The color is beautiful, much nicer than in the pictures. I didn't like the flimsy shoe strings they came with, so got some leather replacements.
All in all and if it weren't for the slightly irregular upper on the right one, I'd say this is a very good alternative to similar, but much more expensive styles from Viberg (and especially their numerous collabs).
