Giles, what are the odds of Haraki making something like this ? This down shirt jacket is fucking BEAUTIFUL!

Shubs, I thought you owned one or two of the IHSH-17? I know the obvious differences but I feel like between the IHSH-17 and the IHJ-04, making that would be a bit much. Maybe next season there Fall/ Winter there will be something like that…

I do have just one of the IHSH-17 (lined Chambray) in the indigo. The other one you're thinking about is the heavy chambray IHSH-16, no lining (I have a red one of the latter coming in – it's been ordered by G for the next run and I already own the black). But this down shirt is something very different. To be honest, had South Willard stocked even one in my size -- XXS (34) -- I'd have loaded up the credit card foolishly. I can handle $200 (the CDW italian vest I just bought) but I love this down shirt jacket so much that I was prepared to do something I'd later regret. It's a slim fit too !

Edit : Better to wait for Haraki to make it. There's a chance I can afford to buy it at a later time !

What a nice shop! Thanks for the link, Shuba. The navy blue wool down vest is pretty great, I find. I need to find a money tree! 😉

Looking at ratuken, it's obvious that Crescent Down Works' (CDW) biggest market is Japan. The variety of products CDW makes for Japan is insane (even colorful plaid Pendleton wool down vests) – and of course -- the ratuken CDW products carry Japanese price tags.

Can this thread go in the Haraki-San Division in hope that he looks at it more and so it is easier to access? Seems lost in the Products.

Right on! They could call it the OD shirt! 😉 Seriously, though, good idea. Would be simple enough to produce. I'd actually do an indigo overdyed chambray. That would be awesome.

Are you trying to imply something here? And I am a fan of the Overdyed Chambray idea as well.

Daveo, what do you mean by "regular chambray"? Do you mean a blue/white chambray. The chambray definition is a light cotton cloth in a 1:1 weave (the most basic weave) with the two threads in different colors, one of them being white (usually).

If the regular chambray would be a light blue, the black overdye would most likely totally subdue it. I'm not sure but it probably makes sense to have a darker base color and the overdye in a lighter color just to give a cast. So I would try it out but probably it would make more sense to start with a black/white chambray material and then do a blue overdye.

Well, technically, jersey material as used in t-shirts and sweatshirt is knit. But that's certainly not what you mean.

I can imagine some very strict ribbed knits in the IH line, too, though.
