It was mentioned in a novel I'm reading and I thought, ' what the hell?'. Then I saw your post and thought I'd share the fun.  Not many options on where to buy in the UK, but I can't wait for it to arrive.

Found today. Never opened Mortlach 12 year old. Bottled in 1990 by Gordon and McPhail. Bought 4-5 years ago, just as the new security regulations were brought in :(. So it's been stuck in France ever since. One of these years…

Nate, its' on dude. My wife tells me that if I ruin a day in New York by being hung over, then I am a dead man…...fortunately I am functioning drunk, and able to complete basic tasks whilst hung over. I simply require a couple of Motrin or Advil, and pint of Tropicana, a bar of Chocolate, and a large strong coffee and I am ready to roll.....sort of.

**Disclaimer, unless I drink any Red Wine, which I hate and hates me, and makes me feel ill for absolutely days. With a dull headache and a vague feeling of sickness.

                    Red wine's tricky… Calvados is where it's at...  🙂

I think that the thing with Red Wine is that in general you have to pay out a fair amount of money to get good stuff (in England at least), and I just don't love it enough to pay out for it. Hence, I always end up drinking shit, and feeling like shit as a result  😠

I suspect that good cheap wine is easier to get on the continent, than here in merry old Albion though.

Possibly too smooth, certainly too easy to drink in large quantities. As I've not drunk much in the way of Bourbon it's easy to say that this is by far my favourite so far.

Might be that my next 'bottle of stuff to drink when I feel like shit' will be another Bourbon. Or I may try another brand of Japanese Whisky.

I love me some Bourbon. I just discovered it last winter. My favorite ways to drink it are neat, or in an Old Fashioned. I haven't really tried many varieties of Bourbon. Might have to give Woodford Reserve a try.

Also, good news for Bourbon drinkers. Bourbon barrels in Kentucky currently outnumber its citizens.

Woodford is a solid bourbon. I am a huge fan of Jefferson's Presidential Reserve 18 year old bourbon.

I'm a big Woodford fan. My new favorite is Parker's Wheated Mashbill. The 2012 Whisky Bible rated it in the top 5 whiskies in the world. It's about the same price as Woodford, fairly easy to find, and damn delicious.

Fat dudes need good clothes too.

I'm a fan of Woodford, but Maker's Mark is still my absolute favourite. Tried Gentleman Jack the other month and that stuff is really nice, too easy to drink though, super smooth. I definitely recommend it!

I currently have Buffalo Trace in my cabinet, which I have been enjoying immensely, though it may be a little too sweet for my liking.  Also, I have a nearly empty Corner Creek Reserve, which was really tops for only $30.

Also have Glen Breton 10 Year Single Malt, Laphroaig Quarter Cask, and Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey.

The local LCBO has a Belgian Whiskey, Owl something, that always makes me think of Eli.  i want to pick it up but need some celebratory excuse to justify the $125 price tag.

Out with the new! In with the old!
