      i've got a quick question,

If i'm relatively comfortable in a waist size 29 of the SExIH03, if i am to purchase a pair of 634sr's, should i also order a size 29 or size up to 30? I haven't had the chance to try on a pair so i am seeking help

      thanks in advance

You can always do a super hot soak if you need to shrink it some more.

            I agree with that.

As a woman that is easier to defend. Supposing he's a man, it is wiser to size up one size then to see they are too tight where it counts after you shrunk them. For what it's worth the end of the "slot" is really hard and does pinch sometimes. Not good.

Giles' advice is to get the same size as you'd get in the 634S. I wouldn't size up. Haraki says they shrink to "tagged size". Get your tagged size. I've seen too many folks on SuFu trying to get rid of 634SR that are too big. I've never, ever seen anyone attempting to get rid of them because they're too small.

It is slightly fuller in the thighs.  But everybody who has bought 634S and 634SR off me has gone for the same tagsize in both…G

wait, so was the advice given to me considering that i was comparing the 634sr to the ih cyclist jeans? b/c i haven't tried on neither 634s nor 634sr to be able to get the same tag size as a 634s.

                        My plan was:

I own a relatively comfortable pair of SExIH03 (cyclist jeans) in a size 29 and was going to purchase a size 30 when I online order the 634SR. Is this still the right path?

I would go with Beatle's advice bubblleboi. Go with the same size as your cyclists. BTW, I'm a cyclist jean lover (owner – in both BK and Indigo) too ! And frankly, I can't get my mind off these 634SR either. I pretty much fucking love them, though they may be bigger on the thighs.

I'm obsessed with these 634SR. Even though the cut is not really meant for me, I don't know…I'm freaked out and obsessed. I definitely cannot afford them at the moment, however -- so that saves me. Giles, if I decide on these, I'm probably going to get them at SESF -- it's safer. I've bought a shitload from you (Giles) but it's all stuff which is not available at SESF. If something is available at SESF, I'd rather try on first before purchasing.

I mind not a bit Shubs.  But trying them on will not tell you anything!!!  Until you have soaked them to get them to size and get rid of the starch they will look awful!  Trust me, mine did.

That's great advice G. I'm pretty sure I'd get a W29, L34 anyway. They shrink 2" in the length and eventually stretch to tagged size right ? Cuz in the 634S, a W30 is too big on me and a W29 is just right. I understand that after shrinking the 634SR, it's going to feel like a jagged knife is strapped around my gut for a bit til the jeans stretch back out but that's OK.

Giles,  I'll  buy them from you then. I'm "closer" to you than I am to Kiya. I'm sure that Kiya is a nice guy and shit – but I've never met the dude.

I was fancy-ing the 24-oz Sams sold by BIG but after hearing Seul's meanderings about his "muscle car" Sams, I'm gonna stick with Iron Heart. I'm not into slubby.

Dead, I've heard Seul use that term – "slubby" -- when it comes to Samurai jeans.  That's why I re-used it. But when Seul openly admits that his Iron Hearts feel heavier and that he loves them more than his 19oz Black Knight Sams...I gotta wake up and listen to the man.  When Beats says that the SEXIH07BK are the best jeans she's ever owned...WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE ! The grass ain't greener on the other side. I do aspire for a ridiculously heavy-as-fuck pair of unsanforized  jeans (no interest in the upcoming 35-oz though) -- and 634SRs fit the bill, though they will require tremendous fortitude and patience to break-in, as Giles noted.

Thanks for warning me Giles. Yeah, I know…I have heard that before. I may still buy them anyway. Look, they probably won't look THE BEST on me but that's OK. It seems like many prefer the 461S on me to the Cyclist jeans (as seen by comments WAYWT thread). It's OK. But, given my body structure and general appearance -- it's pretty hard for me to look clownish or unattractive. They're gonna be ultra boy-friendy on me -- I'm prepared for that. And yeah...they're not gonna be my "winners"...and that's OK too.  Several have admitted (DougNg, Stewart, others) -- that they aren't totally thrilled with the fit of the 634SR as compared to other IH jeans but that doesn't stop them from giving their 634SR love and tenderness.
