I'm hoping I can get my S510XX's to soften up a bit, only one wash so far but they're like sandpaper!

they're short fiber Texas cotton, so they're loaded with starch to keep the yarns pressed.  i did periodic soaks on my 500xx to get rid of the starch & temper the fabric + threads.

they will soften quite nicely with wear.

Yeah, I have to soak them again and start wearing them…Only way to soften them up and get them to look
as cool as yours.

You won't regret it, man. The 'natural' evolution route is slow and sometimes frustrating, but the end result makes it so rewarding. As you said, you will be proud - damn proud!

could have went down to a 28 but i think these will be fine after a few soaks

All the measurements were spot on ( blue in green ) except the waist which measured 30
Ill post some post soak measurements after a few soaks

yeah,  on the mid-sizes, SD2 is possible__ i went down to W31 [from TTS W33] on the 5000BKs

My S5000VX 24 oz. shrunk an inch in the waist, that was after the second wash. I got a 34 and they're a 33
now. Looking forward to the fit pics Flash.

Waist shrank a ton ( all the way down to 28 ) after the first soak but there is still more in them
Gonna soak them again tomorrow and I should have some fit pics by the weekend
