I know guys who spend just as much as I do, but on far lower quality items. I have three pairs of jeans, they have 25, I have 8 shirts, they have 50. To me, they are operating a false economy, our gear will last the test of time, there's will be on a dump in the next 12 months.

Made in England, clothed in Japan, fed in America and drunk in Belgium !

yeah so don't feel bad about spending so much on quality stuffs. So now, go to www.ironheart.co.uk and start getting more quality stuffs that you can use for the next 2-3 decades at least. 😃

Yeah…just came back from the local bookstore hoping to pick up the Game of Thrones bundle, that was unfortunately not available, when I realized I could likely buy them for cheaper via Amazon. Not the case. Merde.

Best to buy paperbacks second hand I find, either in charity shops or online. I realise that this is straying wildly off-topic (sorry). Check out abebooks.com or alibris.com.

Is there some sort of technical reason why the gray marl tee shirts are 95% cotton instead of 100% like the other colors?

What are the best running shoes?

                                      Not too concerned about looks.
At least 80% of my running is on a treadmill.

I know this might just come down to preference, but I'm sure there have to be some shoe specs out there that are better than others.

As of right now, I'm into New Balance.
Anyone have a preferred New Balance shoe?

Re running shoes, if you're in need of some support and motion control (a good shop can assess this for you), I would recommend Brooks. Their running shoes are solid, well-constructed and comfortable. If you can get away with a neutral shoe, Nike shoes from the Lunar series and the classic Pegasus are excellent.

I've used both of these brands and they served me well over hundreds and hundreds of training miles and racing.
