Iron Heart IH-634S - World Tour 2010 - 2013

It really is a great place. I'm actually heading back today to grab lunch with my brother…
Some more pics from yesterday...
My Dad, getting the rod ready...
To go fishing for the dog…
He attaches a dummy fly (without a hook) and the dog loves chasing it while he practices casting.
Went to a new Italian restaurant in the area. It's run by a Sicilian chef that moved over the US this past year to open this place up. Really great food.
Prosciutto with fresh mozzarella and peppers
Arugula and tomato salad with some lemon olive oil and pepper
Fresh saffron spaghetti with shrimp, tomatoes, and red pepper flakes

Great updates emceeQ! Mouthwatering food shots and that dog is uber cute.

Great set EmceeQ

Thanks guys! Every time I visit my parents I feel like all I do is eat, haha. This dog, Zeke, is also just too cute to handle. The little guy rocks!
Stopped by my one of my favorite places in the area this afternoon. Erma's has been serving up frozen custard around here since 1942. Even when it's raining this place has a line…
Had a bit of a family gathering today, and one of my best friends and his sister decided to show up and surprise me…

Okay, so I'm working on making some plans for next weekend (ie my last weekend with the WT's). Trying to decide between two things and was curious as to what you guys might prefer to see.
I can either head up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and do some camping. Beautiful forests and Lake Superior, IMO the best of the Great Lakes, would be the highlights of this trip. Or I can head out to Colorado and do some camping in the Rocky Mountains.
Would you guys prefer to see one of these over the other? Either way it will be awesome, which is why I'm having trouble deciding.
-
Wow, either of those destinations sounds superb, you lucky devil! If you’re after a vote then I’d say Lake Superior because you enthused about it when you were here with us.
Great updates, and that pup Zeke is gorgeous!
-
To paraphrase Horace Greeley, and cast my vote, go U.P., young man.
-
I'm voting Upper Peninsula in Michigan. You should endeavour to listen to (early) Ted Nugent throughout your trip too for essential MI flavour.

Thanks Paula! and Zeke is a beautiful puppy. Can't wait to see him grow up…
And it's settled then, I'll be making it to the UP next weekend. Now I just need to convince a friend or two join me...

Oh don't you worry, the Nuge will get the play he deserves. I actually met him in northern Michigan once when I was younger. Super nice guy…

Great posts. Love that dog. So, is it a labradoodle or goldendoodle?

Personally I don't mind, I just absolutely love that you will let the World Tour takes you where it takes you….......

Thanks man! Zeke is a goldendoodle.

Thanks G. I figured while I've got the time it only made sense to go on as many adventures with WT's as possible. Can't wait to do this thing again when the Triple Works wind up on my door step…
Rocket, that's probably what's going to happen. Knowing me, there is a good chance I may decide to do something totally different when it comes time to head out.
As for current goings on...
We decommissioned a cluster of computers at work today. This guy to be specific...
My work involved digging all these cables out of the floor boards and moving this hulking thing (~1000lbs) to the other side of the room…
.
Probably retrieved and coiled around 3000 ft of various cords this afternoon.
Now it's time to start getting the house ready for everyone that's coming in from out of town to celebrate my 21st on Thursday…

emceeQ, great updates! Have loved following your leg. Keep it up and just make sure to get some full shots of the denim pre and post wash (IF you do this) before sending them off. Cheers!

Thanks Lando! You'll definitely get pre and post wash pics, and probably some drying as well…
Spent a good few hours waiting around at the Secretary of State yesterday to get my license renewed...
Rewarded myself with one of my guiltiest pleasures. Don't know what it is about these, but man do I love em…
-
Finished decommissioning our old storage cluster and pulled a bunch of old machines that are no longer in use from our racks. At this point it's looking like most of this stuff will become scrap metal…
On the official document saying what we where getting rid of, "a shit load of hard drives" was listed…
Got outta work and enjoyed this…
All in good company of course…
My roommate baked a cake for me and insisted I blow out at least one candle…
Headed out to the bar for some karaoke after that. Enough people came out for the festivities that we effectively filled up half the bar.
I believe this was taken during a rendition of I'm not Okay by My Chemical Romance hahaha. Almost hate to admit how much I love that song. Almost…
