Yea, they are his pride and joy, 2 1/2 - 3 years. No washes, no soaks. Other than rain. Grime is his friend as far as they go. And he's a  long time vet of raw denim, my mentor, haha.

Guy at BiG offered him like 250.00 for them, he said no and they sit in his closet. I respect that

I have a pair of the 003 slims I am wearing right now.  I can say with confidence, after owning over 30 pairs of raw denim, that the 003 is the best fitting slim jean I've ever owned.  The construction of the jeans is also unique - the way they are put together is different from anything I've seen and really speaks to their attention to detail.  I would give them my highest recommendation to anyone considering them.

I misspoke.  I have the 008 slim model (the one with the darts), not the 003.

I disagree.  The rise is low but not criminal.  I'm only 5'9" and decently built and I think they look great.  My wife loves them.  I'll post fit pics soon.

Size 28 which is a size. True 31 has a rise of 8 inches, that's a little criminal to me. Ha

According to BiG, Somét only offers one cut with a high rise but has a very strong taper.

denim is AFAIK always 13,8oz (what BiG offers)

Well my buddy is 6 foot and prob 145 pounds, and even he says 003, he says 008 way to skinny, and the knee darts are not nice looking IMO, but to each his own

Those are a low rise jeans - even sizing up one wouldn't work… And seriously: does these measurements (for the 030) make sense to anyone?..

Inseam note: Although the inseam averages only 32.5", the rise is 3" longer than the 003 and 008 models making all three silhouettes around the same total length when measuring the outseam

No they don't make sense but to me it seems like its a weird cut on purpose, Mabey some people like it. The 003 is there flagship, the 030 is like iron heart bootcut, prob goes mostly unnoticed
