OMG Giles…I would be sooo sad ! Are you bummed that you scuffed them up ?

No, they're boots, they're meant to be used and abused, I bought them to do a job and they did it brilliantly.

Shoes in the picture look good. But when I went to a shoe store in Chicago the other day, I looked at a pair of Indys (leather sole) and they didn't do anything for me. Perhaps it's because I'm used to their cordovan stuff so the normal leather just feels flimsy. Then I tried on a pair of chukka boots. Color (rust, not the dark brown and not the tan, in between) was GORGEOUS! Quality of leather was beautiful. However, they had not the slightest backstay (heel reinforcement). That made them feel really strange on the foot and not very stable to walk in. Rolling over the heel just didn't feel right. Not a round movement and no stability. Very different from Clarks chukkas. Too bad. The color and leather were to die for.

Regardless if they're overdone or not, I got myself another pair of Red Wing Gentleman Travellers. This time with the Moc Toe in Black Cherry.

These boots just work for me

I've had these for six months now

I just got back a nice wad of cash from my tax return…already some of it is put away to buy my gf's son an IHS-08 for his birthday (I'd get him a pair of jeans, but his mom insists on cleaning his jeans after every wear and that would drive me nuts)...and wanted to get something for myself

I was going to get a pair of the Alden Indy's in Chromexel, but I really prefer the color on these after I put on a secondary coat of black shoe cream on them...the style is similar enough to the Indy's that I won't convince myself anytime soon that I need a pair of Indy's

I love the GT's...Chromexel leather and they break in sooooo nice...and  I only paid $210 for them shipped

These will be stomping through the rainforests of Puerto Rico in two weeks!

                    Thanks for the compliments, guys

How my 9011's look after a few months and a couple coats of black shoe cream

In direct sunlight, without the black coat, they look a lot like clown shoes because they're such a bright red. This works better for me, and it has been my all time favorite color long before I got the boots or the idea to "overdye" them

Yeah, I love it.  I really want to beat the crap out of a TWHRII (http://www.ironheart.co.uk/html/TWHR%20II.html), but just love the FBJ-101, so don't give the TWHRII enough attention.

I'll get around to it eventually…G

that is an awesome looking jacket! FBJ? what does that stand for…

and i see in the patch that it has the motorcycles pulling the jeans apart so that jacket def has some years on it. Very very nice job on that. I doubt that model is still available  😠

no, its cool giles  😉 i understood that that jacket was no longer available the moment i saw the leather patch with the to motorcycles pulling at the jeans. Man, great design on the patch back in the day. Also, iron hearts arcs were some of my favorite back before the lawsuit.. i still like them now, but the ones before were soooooo slick! But what did FBJ stand for giles?
