Those of you who are looking for a punch set, I just got this one to shorten my IH belts

      http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002964CC/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00

Shortening my belts was a little more involved than Giles' video, because I only shortened two inches

I had to punch a large hole over the second screw hole, cut the belt at the center of that circle, then use the part of the belt holding the buckle as a stencil. Used the punch to score the leather twice, then punched the holes. All in all, took a couple minutes, but it's not as easy as taking the cut off piece as a stencil

My knife is also a lot sharper than Giles' Exacto knife, so I only had to slice once 😉

Excellent info to know.  Started wearing my IHB-02 today.  I'm a size 33"-34" and I bought a large.  It fits exactly like I hoped.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I wear a 31" and have a large belt, hence the shortening

Looks good! Mine's the same. Loving it totally! 🙂 IH belts are so well-built that I reckon I can even enjoy it till I kick the bucket. 😃

Just remember to occasionally test the screws for tightness.  If loose, undo completely and put some Loctite or nail varnish onto the thread and rescrew…..

you surely can. my IHB-02 tan have been worn daily 7 times a week only once in a very rare occasion I'll switch for a day but the belt is very durable and still going very strong. one of the most solid belt I've laid hands on. 😃

but I'm wondering, how many oz are the IH belts? the IHB-01, IHB-02 and the IHB-03. saw a few asking how many oz they are but there seems to be no answer. 😞

Call this crazy but couldn't you just roll up either belt and weigh it on the scale?

outside at the moment but having the luxury to chill at a cafe. don't have access to weighing scales. furthermore, when they said oz of the belt, isn't it thickness they are talking about? else those with 28" can have 9oz for the same belt while the 40" can have 14oz? kinda confused over here. 😞

so its not so simple as to just weighing the belt.  😉

I think you should start your own unit of measuring belts volcano.  Aka roll up belt and toss on scale.

^ nah we cannot do that. Cos most leather belts sold are measured usually in oz so having your own measurements also wouldn't help.

Actually, I'm very pleased with the IHB-02 Tan but would like to try Tanner Goods leather belts. Thus I need to compare both. 😞

Sorry if I pissed anyone off with my questions. 😞
