I hardly get to play these days, I have 4 unfinished games that I never get chance to touch. Geekily, I need to finish Transformers - Battle For Cybertron, great game, and the last Batman game, but every time I put one of them on my boy wants to take over

Yeah, my gaming is virtually nonexistent these days, too. Luckily, I don't have any competition for console time, otherwise it would be even worse. I can't imagine how tough it must be to struggle for the controller with both wife and son.:(

My wife wouldn't let me go to bed until almost 1am, as she was playing Heavy Rain, my boy wakes me up at just after 6am to put him Batman - Arkham City on the PS3.
Playstation ruined my life, and I don't even get to play the fucker.

My wife is becoming worryingly obsessed with the video game "Heavy Rain".
Brilliant, brilliant game that really needs a follow up soon.

Mgs is one of the best gaming franchises ever.
I agree. To this day i'm still blown away by the Psycho Mantis duel,easily the most genius moment in VG history in my humble.

It always stuck in my ahead along with some moments from Eternal Darkness. The first time I saw a simulated BSOD in that game I thought my Gamecube was fekked and restarted it
Haha! That reminds me of another MGS moment this time on PS2 with the Sons of Liberty demo that came with a Gundam game i can't recall the name of at this moment, but man that opening!! The rain which i watched for five minutes the first time i played it(no joke!!) and still even before it's HD'd it still looks bloody fantastic!!!

MGS is a fantastic series. Currently making my way through Devil May Cry series and playing Skylanders with my son (great game)

The demo came with Zone Of the Enders. Currently playing Resi 5 for the umpteenth time.

Hated RE 5 loved 4. IMO great series except for 3 and 5 Nemesis was a fucker.

I agree, the series lost it's way after Shinji Mikami left Capcom. Bit worried about what's been shown for 6.

Moved too far towards action in an attempt to gain more sales from the West. I'll still keep up with it, if just for the storyline.

The change from survival horror to action horror has left a bad taste in my mouth. After 5, it's gonna have to take something really fantastic for me to grab 6.
In other horror news, it would seem the sequel to Amnesia is slated for release around Halloween. If it's as good as the last one it'll probably be my game of the year.

I quite enjoyed MGS2:SoL, though a lot of people were put off by Snake not being the main character and the ending not really resolving anything. I've seen an interview where Kojima-san states that Raiden was introduced to the series to appeal more to female gamers.
Tee on the left is MGS3: Snake Eater, one on the right is the original MSX Metal Gear. (Which I've never played, although I do have a copy of MGS3:Subsistence, which included Metal Gear and it's sequel).
It doesn't seem like 5 minutes since the 20th anniversary... Hard to believe it's been 5 years since MGS4 came out.
Hope there's more on Revengance at E3 this year.

Didn't know about creating Raidan as an attempt to appeal to female gamers…
Thing's that bothered me a bit about SoL was the entire game took place in one area (the tanker) and the story was quite convoluted. Not like the games stories aren't or anything, this one just seemed more so than the rest.
I have Subsistance too- such a great game. Probably the best ending to any MGS game.
I dunno how I feel about Revengance. Not really expecting much tbh :-\
