Iron Heart Belts
-
got in a little early, tired of text, so here is picture overload:
the reddish belt was once natural but treated with Obenaufs once or twice. no idea how long i've had them as they just feel like they have been with me forever.
-
Monday I'm assuming the 01 & 02 are both natural and not brown
-
all natural & one black
-
I have the same exact set up. The natural belts are unreal. However I think my black 02 is my favorite
-
i love how it's blue/black on the inside from indigo stains. . . but i do love the naturals they change soooo much it's unreal they start out nude.
-
Monday was that 02 treated with Obenauf's oil or LP it looks like my 01 treated with oil.
-
it was treated with LP, the stuff is great
-
LP is fantastic stuff
-
good choice
-
^you should see the 03
-
All 3 belts are tremendous
-
G&P are tremendous when it comes to shipping

Those of you who are looking for a punch set, I just got this one to shorten my IH belts
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002964CC/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00
Shortening my belts was a little more involved than Giles' video, because I only shortened two inches
I had to punch a large hole over the second screw hole, cut the belt at the center of that circle, then use the part of the belt holding the buckle as a stencil. Used the punch to score the leather twice, then punched the holes. All in all, took a couple minutes, but it's not as easy as taking the cut off piece as a stencil
My knife is also a lot sharper than Giles' Exacto knife, so I only had to slice once
