IRON HEART World Tour II 2011-2012 - Beatle Buster SBG
-
brief photo epilogue of the SBG's escaping Brooklyn, Mrs. Nancy, my hero:
& it seems they might have fallen into a great fate in PA. glad they made it to Jestre & as far as the smell being detergent-y, being in a wet box bouncing around gave them a moldy smell, but from the looks of things they will be happy with you & get lots of fresh air.

Thanks for the early words of praise my fellow denim heads. I'm stuck working over the weekend so I can't guarantee getting too much up. I actually gave the jeans a quick soak before I left for work today and I plan on letting them hang outside all day & overnight to let them properly air out. I'll get the measurements up for you tomorrow (hopefully) Kat.

Found my favorite cat rolling around on the floor after grabbing the jeans from outside.
Her name is Isobel, she's solid black (though the sunlight makes her look brown in areas), but she does not fade-to-grey like the WT's
I can't remember if I've posted this before, but here goes again:
I picked her up from where I work several years ago. She looked very rough and people told me the kids might try to throw things at her on campus. I brought her home and after some TLC she started to regain her health. She has made small "social" progress every year with people and the other cats.
I named her after a song by Bjork, aptly titled "Isobel".

I figured I'd use this world tour to give a little more info on the life of Jestre. I have to be a hardass at work, and that look usually works well with IH gear. . . but that's really not the kind of person I am. I've been living back at home for several years now to help my Mom out. She was in an abusive relationship at the time and asked if I could move in so that guy could move out, as long as I could help her with the mortgage. Of course I couldn't say no so I've been here since. It hasn't always been the easiest thing for a guy my age to still "live at home" but I know I'm doing the right thing and I feel like it will pay off later in life.
I took some pictures around the house of some artwork I did while I was in college. I was extremely interested in printmaking and that became my focus as an Art Education major. This is just a small sampling of some of the things I posted up on the walls and whatnot. I also did some bronze sculpting & painting but never excelled at either of them. As the years passed, I've done less art… but I still enjoy it from time to time.
The last picture is with another of my cats named Charger. I've grown up with cats my whole life (with the occasional dog here and there) and think they're pretty damn awesome.

Continuing to take some pictures around the house after returning from work. I'll be going on vacation down the East Coast to Myrtle Beach next week, so some more exciting pictures are in the near future. But until then. . .
The front of the house. I've learned to love a lot about this place over the years. It has a lot of faults due to its age… but damn if that doesn't add a lot of character.
A nice little patch of flowers in the "first" back yard. And check out the goofy metal creature my mom picked up from god-only-knows-where.
My grilling setup. Simple as all get-out, but damn if it doesn't get the job done in the summer.
Next to the side entrance. One of our cats has an interesting method to get atop the back roof. NINJA SKILLS!
This is Cosmo. I named him after Cosmo Kramer on Seinfeld. He doesn't have the ability to meow so he finds other interesting ways to get our attention.
An old Marantz receiver I picked up when I used to work at a pawn shop through college. Sometimes its just nice to throw some jazz or old skool punk on the turntable.

Haha, well he likes to stand on his hind legs and jiggle the door knobs if he wants in a room. Or if he's outside he'll climb the screen door and look in to get our attention.
I like a lot of the typical ones from the 70's/80's: Dead Kennedys, Misfits, Black Flag, DOA, TSOL, Minutemen, Agent Orange, etc.
