IH-464 - 21oz Flared Cut

I'm surprised that there's like zero reaction to the 464 Flared Cut. That shows that this forum is all men, except for me. I'm tellin' ya dudes…bell-bottoms (flares) look awesome on slender people -- man or woman ! And they never go out of style. I'll be getting my pair someday soon, when I do I'll post pics up.

Giles is hooking me up with a W28. I decided upon IH 464 over SEXIH07. After a careful assessment, I decided to step away from the hype and reflect on the jean which would appear most flattering on me – and I know that IH 464 is the jean. I may be unusual on this forum in that I'm not obsessed with selvedge or not, un-sanforized or not. What I mean is, yes, if the "S" version were available -- I'd choose it over the "non-S". Not so sure about un-sanforized though...I think Shrink-to-Fit is a bit risky and with sanforized, given the top $$ we're paying, you're a lot more confident about the fit you'll be getting after washing/hot drying. But I wouldn't eliminate a jean from consideration just because it was non-selvedge. What matters most to me is construction, quality and flattering fit (given my body type).
Looking back, though I love my two pair of straight cut boyfriend style IH, I wish I had instead purchased bootcuts. Bootcuts run slimmer in the thigh area (as do the flares and slims) and as such (since I'm slender), they'd have been more flattering on me. I'm thinking of giving my bootcuts to my Mom, in fact. They'd totally fit her ! (She doesn't know yet).
Can't wait to get my 464s !

shub, Do your thing. I personally cannot pull off the IH-464 but rock what you like. Would love to see some flicks when you end up getting a pair. I am also interested in seeing what shoes you pair them with as running shoes will not cut it.

OMG LandoCal you are hilarious ! So, you've discerned that I prefer running shoes ? I do run 6-hilly-miles-at-a-pop 2X a week you know…that along with yoga, walking 10s of miles all over Oakland, Berkeley, and SF, keeps me in shape. But to answer your question...running shoes (and occasionally Dansko professional clogs) are all I wear. So, yes, I'll be rocking the running shoes with the IH-464 bro. Of course, I'll post pics and you'll see that the combo won't look that bad ! I own a pair of $400 "Old Gringo" boots that are fantastic but I'm sorry...I care more about comfort than looks. I might wear them out for an evening but on a day-to-day basis I prefer running shoes first, and Dansko professionals second. Check out "Old Gringo" boots :

shub, I think the Dansko are your answer for the IH-464. Or maybe do some Adidas Campus with them? Kinda like how they rock it in Dazed and Confused. Hey more power to you for being active. I am the complete opposite unfortunately… And I love that you have a signature style!

Considering that the running gag with my friends when I wear my IH flannel is that I look like a cybernetic lumberjack from the future here to kill John Connor, I'm pretty sure I can't pull off that look
But FWIW, chicks that can pull off bell bottoms are usually HAWT
