That was the reason I didn't get them. I have one pair of black jeans and barely wear them. Those are basically black to me.

for reference I wear w30 in sexih07 , 9301, 301s07bk (I could do 31 the legs are so slim), my 634sr are w29 but I wish they were w30, my 634sb are w31 but they're old and they run small back then the waist only measures about 30.5

yeah I had planned to wear without a cuff but I can't do the big stacks especially early when the denim so rigid and crazy looking. I played it safe with hem length cause theyre supposed to shorten a little with a wash, if I could do over I'd chop another inch or so but I'm too impatient to send them back again.

so my mini review

the denim is very dark but not black. its an even deep deep blue. barely any weft peeking through, the weft seems same as most other ih denims I think, double strand, beige color. denim is tight and smooth, very beefy feeling. the inner face is very soft, a friend described it well said it almost feels brushed.

the cut reminds me a bit of the 301s up top, seems natural to wear them a bit low on the hips, but of course with a slimmish straight fit through the legs and not the aggressive taper of the 301. really like the cut.

the back pockets are noticeably longer than any other IH jean I have. this plus the mini sag puts the wallet quite low, thats gonna take some getting used to, leads to a bit of a funny fit in the seat that I hope relaxes a bit with wear. but i dont think the denim is gonna stretch too much, just my guess.

they are going to fade. seeing little corners of indigo loss after a day. gonna do my best to wear these for a while.
