Samurai Jeans

or they're $725 in the us from big and you get them shipped to you as a low value gift…
that's why I posted both links. 2ND and BiG. But it's true. 725$ sound 'good' at first but you also have to pay shipping (although Gordon might skip that for you considering the price you already pay) and customs would be the same 31%
edit: but as I said. The old S5000KA was nicer in my eyes. Cooler color and nicer texture
If anyone is looking for a pair of W30 S5000CX BNWT: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-SAMURAI-S5000CX-selvage-jeans-Japan-Old-arcs-tab-/130643737280?pt=US_CSA_MC_Jeans&hash=item1e6af93ac0#ht_3225wt_1398

This could be a pair riff is selling?! I remember he said something about owning a CX. Well they are not the KA (so not dyed with persimmon juice AFAIK) but still a very rare piece. Thanks for the link!

Yeah from the other items being sold by this seller and the images used, I think you may be right. I almost bought a pair of the CX a few years ago from farmer but passed. Regret it a bit.

yeah they have a nicer texture (to me).
But now after Lando posted the S5000CX, I wished Samurai would do those again. A classic color and with the smoother texture, they look more normal which makes them easier to pull off.
Too bad Samurai concentrates more on jeans or overdesigned pants for their other lines I would never wear …

To bring back the talk about the S5000KA24oz for a brief moment: the officiel blog entry
http://ameblo.jp/samuraihonten/entry-11156246512.html
The color of the pants looks better on those pictures than on the official 'pants introduction page' (there is also one model which had in real life better denim than what the official pics made you think) but the lighting on those blog entry is…well...not the best. Too dark I'd say to take good pictures.

S5000vx is similar cut in the leg, but slimmer in the top block, 510's are similar in the top block, but slightly looser straight cut in the leg. Of the two my preference would be the S5000's, I have owned both cuts and the 5000 is a bit more flattering for a straight cut.
-
I'd recommend the S5000 cut also. I don't have much experience with Samurai, but I do like the pair I have in that fit.

Anyone other than BIG carry them?
Not in the US; Blue In Green has exclusive rights. If you don't mind international ordering, you can get them from multiple sellers on Rakuten, and I believe DC4 carries Samurai as well. I'm sure others will chip in with specific stores, but you probably will get the best transaction from Gordon at BiG, since you're in the US.
-
I have used e2nd.net in the past. They're usually well stocked, and if you use an online translator the ordering process is pretty painless.
-
I have a pair of S5000VX size 28x36 with red tag, arcs and all tags for sale in the Supermarket. Letting them go for cheap. $300 obo.

Fit pics of my new (to me) Samurai Jins, 0110xj, apologies for the toilet shots, but I'm at work so my choice of location is limited. I love this denim, the texture and weave is like nothing else I've ever seen. This pair I might go for contrast fades, rather than vintage, I just think it looks better with the Jin denim.
