    They're available now, but I am (by default) only pulling them in when I run out of a size in the 9634.  I get a delivery from Japan  every 2 weeks or so, so if you want a pair, let me know and I'll pull them in on the next shipment.

      gee, while i am at it, howzabout the IHB-03 with the same coating on a buckle?

      one can wish…..

        Thanks for all the ideas, I'll put them into the ever expanding pot.

          Giles, is there any difference in cut on the Z model or is it really just the denim and zipper instead of buttons?

          Basically, I'm all but ready to pull the trigger on the last pair of 36s you have but most of my jeans have a little more rise than that.  My S5000VX measure up about the same as the measurements for the 9634S on your page, and they are borderline too short for rise (for me…what can I say, I like a lot of rise).  9634 won't shrink at all, right?

          Thanks!

            @Giles:

            @daveo:

            Do these stretch much/at all?  I am more or less a 35 waist and could get away with a 36 if they didn't stretch but I would probably prefer a 34 + a little stretch.  Thoughts?

            As far as I am aware, no stretch in the 9634, LandoCal can you confirm?  The new 9634Z will stretch as the weave is much more like the 634S

            Just found mine for work and put them on. No chance to measure as I am late to the bar but will measure tomorrow and post outdoor pics. They feel great! I would suggest "puling the trigger" on these. You will not regret it!

              Just zipper and denim.  No probs Daveo.

                Is there enough stock on the 38's (button fly version) if I order them in the following weeks?

                      Here are some photos for you daveo. Just washed hang dried outside for the 4th time since I bought them about a year ago. Jeans are still very wet in these photos.

                        Good stuff Landocal! Seems like the denim really retained the blackness even though you've put it through battle tested wears.
                        That's a mark of some good workmanship.

                        They are still wet in those pictures which makes them a bit darker than they actually are. I do however agree with you on the workmanship. Which means I may have to buy another pair for safe keeping since I am not the biggest Zipper fan.

                          Shit, after having to button up my 634SRs all week, I'll gladly take a zipper…damn things are so stiff I need a shoehorn to close my fly...

                            It looks good! So that's the 4th wash? I can see there's almost no whiskers or honeycombs but the black has dulled a bit and some mild right knee wear.
                            I'm sure some fraying or rips would look awesome but I doubt the fabric on these would allow that…

                              I'm not happy at all that the IH-9634 is being fucked with. Seriously. That's a beautiful jean ! Zipper ? C'mon ! I guess if we truly adore this jean as is, we need to stock up on a couple more pairs.

                                What waist size are you?  I'll pop a pair aside for you, if I have them, if you want them that is.  If I have not got a pair I'll rip the stockroom apart in Hachioji on Saturday looking for a pair

                                  Giles, in the IH-9634 I'm a Waist 29 or 30 (I like to wear those Boyfriend style). But Self Edge in San Francisco has my size in stock – so you don't have to do that. Sorry bud...you know I live literally 10 minutes (driving) from the Self Edge store (Mission neighborhood, SF) ! By BART, I'm there in 30 minutes tops. I'll probably pop in tonight and grab a pair.

                                    Actually Giles – I changed my mind. Guess what I'm gonna do ? In January 2010, I'm going to order a pair of W29 IH-9461 (Super Black 22 oz in Boot Cut) from you -- altered to a length 30. Kiya doesn't stock the boot-cut version and I love boot-cut. I can't do it now (I'm traveling to Paris this Christmas, which won't be cheap). But in January, you'll get an order from moi for those ! There aren't too many W29 folks runnin' around so I'm hoping that you'll still have those in stock by then. One of the benefits of being so tiny is that my size seems to sell out last. PS. In the skinny/slim IH versions, I wear a W28 ! As the controversial ad campaign for Intel (the chip company) once said : "You can never be too rich or too thin". And from Kate Moss: "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.". Although, I'll admit, I'm not Kate Moss skinny -- don't really wanna be -- but heroin (coke ?) chic looks fabulous on her !

                                      Super Blacks!!! Don't really see the point. And to add to the Great Debate that is Zipper or Buttons, well it has to be buttons for me. Have to say though i am a sucker for a good Talon zip 🙂
