been wearing the black ducks nonstop for almost three weeks now…...  Keep in mind I have a really really long legs and a short torso.

I have noticed when working on the ground or kneeling down on the knees.... the double knee does not come below the knee joint.  The seam at the bottom of the double knee hits me about the middle of the knee cap when kneeling down working off the ground, which is a little uncomfortable.

Trust me I do a lot of kneeling down to kiss the bosses ass and ask for a raise...My boss is a woman so I guess I do not mind 😮 🙂

This will not stop me from buying another pair.....

For this work pant if it is ok to suggest one minor improvement, it would be to make the double knee 3 to 4 inches longer going down the leg.  They are fantastic in every other way, maybe the rise could be just a little higher...... but I like a high rise where most other people do not.

This is in no way ment to be critical.  just something I have noticed while working in these pants.

Thats the construction on the overall. The double layer extend up to the shin and on most shorter legs like me, its almost sit down in my leg… Really comfortable...

Mank I looked at the overalls, the double layer is perfect length!! when the double layer extends past the knee to the shin it will allow the full knee to be behind the double layer.  Overalls have moved up on the list of things to get.

Kind of like this,  here is a picture of some double knee jeans.  with the double layer going into the shin.

Is it alright to hot soak cotton duck?  My waist 36 is really big and I just wanted to know if I hot soak will shrink them a little.  I love these pants but they are stubborn as hell. I've been wearing for 3 weeks and their still falling…..

hot soak wont shrink much. try a hot wash. agitation is needed in shrinking process, but dont expect a shrink like jeans. it wont shrink and stretch much..

Thanks Mank. I'll keep wearing them for a few more weeks, then I'll hot wash. I'll be sure to follow the rules for washing too.

nah that is good advice Mank & i would advise anyone with care questions to visit the care for your ducks & denim thread for a refresher on how to care for your items.

Thanks Monday, I know where to find the care section, but that wasn't my question. I wanted to know if I would get shrink on a hot soak, not a wash.

i think i read the question correctly & mank responded: @mankarat:

since his response said to wash he also went ahead & gave instructions on how to wash in order to get the desired shrinkage. i chimed in with the care section since i notice alot of people ask general questions but only take advice from certain people. since G is a trusted source i refereed to his post. i think that all makes sense. i thought/think manks response was great cause he answered your question & advised on how you might get the desired result, shrinkage.  :-\

I wasn't looking for a response from a certain member. I've also read this whole thread and noted that the waist and length shrinks over time about one inch (per G) over several washes.  Thanks for the lesson though.
