Redstripe: check out Great Eastern Cutlery knives for a slipjoint. They're currently considered by many to be the best production slip joints on the market right now. I like collectorknives.net to buy them

Edit: if you're looking for a slipjoint with a clip, you're going to find your choices severely limited…Spyderco makes a slipjoint with a clip...that's the only one that's coming to mind...I think it's the UKPK

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose

Spyderco Squeak is awesome, and perfect for UK carry as it's well within the permitted size. It's my EDC of choice these days, as the UKPK just seemed to close to the edge of what you can cart around.

DougNg - thanks I'll have to check those out.
Shame about the lack of slipjoints with clips on the market, the ukpk, even though within the law would leave me a bit worried for edc, it still looks a bit 'mean' 😃

michaeljcr - yes its a really nice little knife isn't it, haven't had it long, but its been in my coin pocket continually

Injunjack, ahh, I've spent a couple of months in Thailand, so its almost definitely from there - good spot!

              Good people:

I am about to buy this: http://www.handyniknaks.co.uk/spyderco-knives-uk-penknife-lightweight-spyderco-c94pmr-1044-p.asp

Before I do please could anyone suggest an alternative that is UK legal carry?

              Thank you

It is legal, it's just it's at the extreme edge of legality. Basically, it was designed to be as close to the line as possible. I wouldn't want to be stopped in a major UK city with one. You'd be legally fine, but i bet it could be tense for a few minutes. Also, personally I don't need anything that big on a daily basis. I sent Hectic some comparison shots with that one and the Squeak.

I think they're very good value, and the slip joint is great on both.

Ok y'all… I'm in need of a cheap knife that will shortly replace my Sebenza whilst it's being sent off for service…

                            Needs:

                            • cheap
                            • locking blade
                            • clip
                            • smaller or same size as Sebenza small (6.875" (175mm)
                            • don't care whether it's legal or not
                            • preferably easy to be found in €urope (on a site like Amazon or what have you not...)

Any and all recs will be looked into. All help appreciated. Cheers.

Thinking of going with a Spyderco... Less than 40 quid portpaid... Should I?..

That's actually Jody's every day carry. It's a great knife. It was designed by RJ Martin, one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He gifted me a Zing when I had dinner at his house two years ago

Check out the Kershaw Zing, it's not assisted, but it might as well be with how easily it opens

Here's an image from the vendor's site - I say god damn this thing is crazy sharp!

I really like how slim it is, I've been carrying a Benchmade Mini Dejavoo Gold Class for a while, it's nice to free up some room in the pocket!
