Max Power - I recall seeing on here that you set the combs on your jeans by wearing them and moving around when wet. Have you done the same to get those elbow honeycombs on the shirt?

Well, getting combs on a shirt is easy IMO, as you do a lot of movement in it. But IIRR I did where it when it was moist from soaking (which took place some weeks after I started wearing it, has been critisezd before, so refrain from that now ;D).

I love that the fact that "pinching:" is so much frowned upon on Indigo Roots, but it is never mentioned here…....

When you pinch the combs and whiskers to define the crease…....

doesnt matter wether it is pinching or not.. You have your own preference to wear the stuff. its not a competition here.. Everybody have their own style.. Some love to wear it while damp, some love to wear it while doing heavy physical work, some love to just wear it and rub it to create fade.. Some love to wear it and go to the beach and rub it with a sand to get fade. In the end. Its your stuff.. Do whatever you want with it.. As long as you are happy with it..The garment were created to use for heavy duty work and nowadays, who are only use it for heavy work? Plus, we are not wear it long enough for the fade to come naturally like what happen hundred years ago and at that time, nobody cares who get good fade on it. Back to square one… Just wear and dont compare...

Yes, very well said. I was just wondering if the shirt looks pinched? In fact, i just wore it.

Didn't intend to kick-off a pinching debate there! It was interesting reading Lightning mag last summer with their denim special (with paint splattered jeans on the cover) and how there was a dedicated feature on 'fake ageing' using a pen edge to rub on creases and mini sanding tools for traintracks etc. Prefer seeing a more natural process myself but kind of fun still.

^yes, i saw that too. They even had a tool that said "play ageing" (probably sandpaper?) that they rubbed over the traintracks. But all results they got looked like sh*t.

Yup. Whereas that Denimba guy who just works on a boat all day wearing Warehouse had incredible fades!

I think about a year ago my fiance bought a pair of lucky jeans that came with a piece of sandpaper so you could do that.

pinching, sounds like what i do when i am trying to make it to the restroom after eating too much fiber & drinking too much cafe.
